    Morning ladies!
Well yesterday was a big success - 1280 cals, a 5k run and an hour long dog walk. Felt less bloated today so had a sneaky weigh and one of those yukky water retention eating too much sodium lbs has melted away over night :j
Just been swimming and felt quite good - a mile in 33 mins so not too bad considering I haven't been for about 3 weeks :o I really tried to push myself - the only downside is that I'm flipping starving now :)

Popped to Aldi on the way home (looking gorgeous with wet hair, no make up and goggle rimmed eyes!) and bought some more F&V and a few other bits and pieces to keep me on the straight and narrow. Feeling much more positive about weightloss today - just shows that getting back on the wagon pays off......

So this is where you've been hiding Dragon! I would love to join the challenge, you can put me down for 14lbs! A friend of mine has a gym at her work and she can take guests for free any time she goes so we've decided to try and aim for 3 times a week starting next week. Hopefully we can keep this up and motivate each other to lose some weight! Also I'm planning on trying to cook more things from scratch and include a lot more vegetables in my diet so this should help. Plus logging everything on MFP again...

  • Hi folks , nice to see so many new and familiar names signing up for the next challenge.

I’m in again Dragon and following my disastrous December, having gained everything I lost , I’m back to square one and aiming to lose 7lbs. This time I have some real motivation – family celebration/holiday _party_ – so I’m determined to be fitter and looking my best.

Like others I’ve had enough of the rich food and am craving salads and fruit so I’ve started today
B – Greek yoghurt (2%) fresh pineapple and raspberries
    L – Mung Bean Soup, 2 Satsuma’s
D – Ham, huge salad and maybe a couple of boiled potatoes - need using up.
S – Grapes, 2 Crackers spread sparingly with Mackerel Pate (H/Bikers recipe)

Soundgirlrocks - I like idea of the “dryathon” and having an alcohol free January – been getting into bad habits throughout December but now that the h/m lemoncello is finished, as well as the baileys, with only about ¾ of a box of white wine left - should be finished on Hogmany  - I will be all ready to lift my glass of fizzy water on new years day.

    B - F&F, sk milk
L - brown roll with lf spread, vlf philly, sliced tomato. 1" square carrot cake with rf vanilla carte d'or
    D - chicken & veg rogan.

Right, off my b*m and off the comp. For a while... :D

I work in quite a heavy drinking environment so hopefull the guys at work will all sponcer me, and should keep me motivated to stay off the booze and help lose some weight, as well as raise some money for a great charity.
  • Can I ask what might be a silly question (but maybe someone else is scratching their head over it too!)

If the next challenge starts on the 5th January, does that mean that on that day we weigh ourselves and that is are starting weight then the following week we declare our first loss?:)

We're not meant to have a loss:) (or the other thing:( ) to delcare on the 5th are we?

    Hi

Yes, I think that's right. Start weigh in on the 5th and then first losses posted on 11/12 Jan , although I think I'm going to start this Monday (with NYE being a little blip) as I'm so sick of eating rubbish.

Need to get into it asap!

  • Had another good day today - good food (no rubbish so far) well within the cal allowance, plenty of fruit and veg and a swim.
    Fingers crossed for tomorrow.:)

Morning all! Had a poor sleep last night but on the positive side all the tossing and turning and hot flushes have resulted in my overdue period arriving - hurrah! I always feel better once its here. Seemed to wee constantly yesterday and feel a lot flatter today so had another sneaky weigh and am down another lb - just shows that a lot of the bloatedness was just water. 2lbs in 2 days - not even the best dieter could lose that in 2 days:rotfl:Getting back towards my pre December weight now but I think the water loss has more or less stopped now so its flab fighting rather than the "wee yourself thin diet" now! ;)

Planning 2 long dog walks and a 5km run today - watching SuperStars last night got me all enthused about exercise again!
I was surprised at how rubbish some of the athletes were at sports that weren't their own - sat here thinking "I could do better than that" - I can't of course (I delude myself that I'm not a 41 yr old chemistry teacher, I am a Jillian Michaels stand in, but only in my head :rotfl:).

Lots of F&V planned for today and a HM quorn spag bol taken out of the freezer for tea.
Hope everyone has a good day.
