  • Oh no daisygg I hope you are feeling a bit better soon. I'm sure there is a lot of sympathy here :( Most of the time it's just water weight, and will disappear in a couple of days (my sister used to gain nearly a stone sometimes)

Had a really long day today and an early start tomorrow so didn't go to the gym. Need to get some home exercises together - if I don't make it to the gym these days I don't do any exercise. Who would have thought joining the gym would mean I exercise less?!?

B: Muesli with FF yoghurt and 2 kiwis
L: bagel with LF cream cheese, pear, apple
D: 3 breadsticks, pasta with meatballs (topped with a tbsp of dried grated cheese) followed by a chocolate mousse

Not too impressed with my diet writing it down, but I did have a very big break through today - stopped at the shop for a card and didn't buy any food (even though I was starving), and also got about half way through my pasta when I felt full and I left half the bowl (finished the meatballs though) :A

Feeling a bit more 'with it' today after my low day yesterday.

Had muesli, low fat Greek yog & honey for breakfast
Carrot & lentil soup & plain w/m bread for lunch (took a banana to work with me but forgot to eat it!)
Leftover jacket potato & egg for tea
Ice cream Mars Bar for pud :o fewer cals than some things I might have had!
Small pk low fat crisps for supper
3 or 4 cups of tea, a glass of lemonade instead of biscs when I was making our tea, and a couple of glasses of water

Bit short on the fruit & veg today, I think :o

Hope everything goes well Littlemoog. See you very soon - it'll fly by :)

You have my sympathy daisiegg. It's horrible when you feel like that. Hope you feel better soon.

  • I am happy to report my first almost non carb day today - thanks to Daska and his/her suggestions - I only had two slices of bread today and that was malted wheat bread because I forgot my sunbites crisps from the cupboard - so bought a sandwich cos I needed something to munch before my work shift.

Hopefully if I can keep this up I might be able to lose something.

Finding walking to and from work + stairs is really beneficial though, even if I'm not seeing any results as yet.
  • Littlemoog good luck hope all goes well for you and baby xx

  • I wondered if I could join you?
My little girl has just turned one and I have got back to my pre pregnancy weight (still about 4 stone over what I should be!) and have been able to eat what I want while breastfeeding and the weight has slowly moved down or stayed the same.
We are slowly stopping feeding now and I’m aware that I cannot continue to eat what I have been and expect not to put on weight. We cook all meals from scratch and largely eat a dairy free diet because little one has allergies. I’ve always read the OS boards and got lots of advice from them.
I’ve started using the MFP app which has been enlightening, I like that it shows me the nutritional values of my days eating as I’m very interested in that. I desperately need to up my protein and curb my carbs!
I’ve had success with weight watchers in years gone by but it is not very mse! I’m hoping this group and challenge might be a good solution!
If it is not too late I would like to join the Christmas challenge? My goal is 13 pounds which will take me into the next stone bracket and under 200 pounds for the first time in about 3 years.
    Thanks!

Thanks everyone for the kind words :)

I feel even worse today but I know it's the worst day and I'll wake up feeling a million times better tomorrow (I hope!) However I'm not helping my weight loss cause by baking a cake.....we had the oven cleaned today and I need to test drive it! :rotfl: I'll just have a small piece and take the rest to work tomorrow. It's vegan so it's lower calorie than its regular equivalent.

I had a sneaky peek at the scales this morning but I am saying nothing until official weigh in tomorrow....and am prepared to write this week off as exceptional circumstances if need be!

Hope everyone else is ok. Welcome paintingrainbows (lovely name!), I'm sure The Dragon will add you to the challenge list :)Skint yet again, hope you're feeling a bit better and a rest has helped.

Good luck everyone with weigh in tomorrow! :)
