Daska, LOL!!! NO it does not show at all! It's just that I had to pau my fine to a pretty lady called Daska at the library on Saturday and I wasthinking how strange would it be if we had met without knowing!
WW One of the residents left a tin of chocs in the common room at work and it is so hard to resist!0 -
Ah well dinner did not go as planned, I ended up eating the bulgur wheat and veg soup, very carby as contained potatoes, barley, beans, it was a mish mash leftovers soup. Was too tired to cook something separate. Never mind, at least it was not bread or sugar stuff!
Good night. Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -

I've never met another Daska, though I did know someone who knew one - which is how I got this name. But I used to live close to someone who apparently looked exactly like me and we even drove the same model/colour of car for a while. I was frequently spoken to by complete strangers who thought I was her (having someone come up and hug you in the middle of town as if you're a long lost friend is quite an event) and was even accused of trying to play practical jokes by claiming I wasn't her... or maybe I was her and I didn't realise... that'd be even more bizarre...Eat food. Well it was hard to do, but I wrapped it up and tucked is safely away, we had a tearful good-bye and that was it. My bread-maker is gone until Christmas
Back from my visit home home to work home now - time to get back on the wagon after a weekend of mum's home cooking, and 3 meals out. My parents eat so un-healthily sometimes. Will properly catch up on the thread tomorrow.0 -
Morning Folks
I now understand yesterday’s desire/need for comfort food. Just when I thought I was through a particular milestone in my life, my body blows a raspberry in my faceas if to say “fooled you”
I hadn’t had a period for about a year…and here we go again, just when I had stopped buying the needed toiletries . Anyway now I know and the painkillers have taken the edge off I can crack on with the day’s activities.
Meals today =
B – Yoghurt & stewed fruit
L – Figs, parma ham & cheese (either a blue one or goats whichever is the cheapest at supermarket)
D – L/O Stovies, pickled beetroot.
The Sun’s out :j so after a bit of housework I will get out into the garden for more tidying and get the grass cut, hope you all have a good day.Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61
July - Sept Grocery spends = £304.88
Oct - Grocery spends = £ 16.590 -
Daska - oops. I was in a bit of a excited panic yesterday when I was online - was out at the gig in the 02 last night as mentioned, it was INCREDIBLE, I am still buzzing from it even now.
I think I got a lot of exercise doing the stairs into the arena and then bouncing around waving my arms (sorry people behind me in the stands...)
I think I was quite good yesterday, the only "bread" I had (and it was more like toast) was with the toastie sandwich I had last night in garfunkels for dinner.
Unfortunately I have bit of a sweet tooth, but I am trying to reduce the bread and potatoes and yorkshires to start with and take it from there. I dont want to cut all the enjoyment out of my diet all at once

Morning all
Just back from gym and raring to go, damn those endorphins! So before I head off to the cleaning cupboard..
B - F&F, sk milk
D - grilled rib, small jacket, hg runners, hm gravy. 1/2 hg Cox apple
T - 1/2 Warb's wm sandwich pitta stuffed with rf cheese, tomato, cucumber, lettuce, rf mayo. SF lime jelly w/ff yogurt
S - grapes, melon, nana, the other 1/2 apple (biggest Coxes apples I've ever seen, they're the size of Bramleys!)
E - 1 hour gym. Just about to attack the bathroom to to bottom then garden if it stays fine
Just discovered Warb's sandwich pitta's, a 1/2 is ample for a tea filled with whatever, 85 cal's so no more than a couple of slices of bread and very inexpensive. Mind you, you prob all know about them, I'm always the last to find out but I get there eventually!
Have a sunny day0 -
Can I join you ladies please?
I have read the threads to Old Style for what seems like forever however after recently having my first child I really want to tackle my weight.
Unfortunately I am awaiting an operation so the gym have banned me for the time being. I struggle most with breakfasts as I like to have warm breakfast and I don't find porridge appertising.
I have recently started the grocery challenge so will be trying to adapt a lot of recipes from there. I have a lot of weight to lose and tend to get down hearted but I have finally got my head into the place where I want to lose weight so I have started today.
