Hi Dragon, Ragz and everyone else, I found myself spending more time on the low-carb thread and decamped for a while, can I come back? It's not nice over there atm (we have a troll). :(

Anyway, it seems like good timing with a new challenge about to start. I'm primed and ready for the off. But I'm struggling to lose atm as the GP's stuck me back on what feels like huge quantities of wheat prior to having a coeliac test - so at the moment my default goal is to 'not gain'. But I guess that's not much of a challenge so, assuming I'm not persona non grata, I'm aiming for 7lb please Dragon and I'll do my bestest, dib dib dib. I've done well here in the past so with any luck it will be the spur I need not to let all the good work go.

I'm still pretty much paleo/ low-carb because of the blood sugar problems but with the wheat I'm having to re-think the fat intake so I'm eating more Harcombe than Atkins.

and you daska (and meh to trolls!) - sorry this is late I had a bad fall yesterday - so back on pain killers a-go-go and steroids :(

  • Well after one week of doing this and I have lost....0lbs.
    However I have gained....0lbs.

So this is another stagnant week for me (surprise). Will keep it up, I think I will stick to my target weight loss of 11lbs.
But for this week alone I will go for a target weight loss of 2lbs, as I am going to be more active so hopefully this will see some weight coming off. :)

In a side note, what is this STS people keep putting in their posts? :)

    Good Morning

I have weighed myself this morning +1lb I have been so good this week. No snacks Weetabix for breakfast, banana for lunch and various healthy dinners.
I thought my portion sizes were good but obviously not :( Plus a lot less exercise I started back at uni this week. I am going to have to try to balance it out somehow.
So can I join the next challenge. I'd like to lose 7lb before Christmas.

    no problem jax

    Morning All

I don't believe it! After a day of just milk and soup after my trip to the dentist yesterday I actually weigh 2lb more than the day before!! However, as today is official weigh in day I shall have to count it. So I have to announce an abject failure for the last challenge. I think I actually weigh more than I did when I started! So can you take away all my smiley faces please RAGZ - and thank you for running the challenge.

My new challenge DRAGON is 7lb which would take me to 8st 12lb as I am 9st 5lb today. I think I shall write it into my signature so I can't forget.

I am off to a Macmillan coffee morning where they are serving breakfast in half an hour - not really the best start, as I am trying to avoid carbohydrates, especially sugar and bread products.

Good luck everyone with the final weigh in.

    Rose

Hope the coffee morning was okay!

Hi all, I forgot to weigh myself first thing this morning but did do it just before lunch and found that I had put on 9lb since my last weigh in. So for the autumn challenge I actually put on 3lb:eek:.

Still I'm going to draw a line under that, put it down to all the health problems I've had. I'm better now and so am going to join in with the Christmas challenge:santa2: I want to loose 2lb per week, assuming the challenge is for 12 weeks then I hope to loose 24lb.

  • Hiya!!

I haven't done an on-line weight challenge like this before, but have been on a high fibre diet (pretty money saving, lots of cheap all bran, lentils and wholemeal pasta...definitely a sight cheaper than the slow-carb diet I tried before which was costing me a fortune in meat and eggs!) for the past five weeks, and figured joining you guys might give me an extra motivation boost in the run up to Xmas.

I've got a long long way to go on this diet, so would like my goal for 12 weeks to be a steady 2 lb a week, (total 24lbs pls Dragon!!!) and then I'll be something like halfway to my goal weight. My weight this morning is 16st 6lbs with a BF percentage of 35.9%. Goals for Xmas week are 14st 10lbs, and 30% BF. Fingers crossed!!

Most of my plan will be based around The F Plan diet, taking in a high amount of fibre, with one day a week of <600 cal fasting day, where I normally only eat fruit or vegetables.

    Good luck everyone!!! :D

Had to go to a lunch today for a colleague who is leaving - avoided all naughtiness AND had to face macmillan coffee mornings yesterday and today and guess what...donated some money but touched nothing. *Big pat on back*

Hope everyone is happy and healthy :)
  • Hello All

Gosh, it's taken me over an hour to catch up.

Big thanx to Ragz from me too, for co-ordinating the last challenge and thanx to The Dragon for volunteering.

I'm aiming for 16lb loss for the Christmas challenge please, then i'll be able to say I'm 10 stone something. Going to have to get my act together to achieve it, so a big kick up the bum needed please Dragon.

    Today:
    B: fruity porridge
    S: banana
    L: chicken sandwich, lf yoghurt
    S: nv bar
D: was supposed to be hm pasta bake
Ex: 5 miles of dog walking and 100+ times of walking up and down stairs!! Have been clearing out the loft today as fitting new insulation tomorrow.

So I am now knackered!!, so we are having fish and chips for tea instead, will do extra exercise tomorrow.

Congratulations to everybody for completing the challenge and hello to all the newbies.
