Hi all
Had a bad day yesterday, terrible cold, back ache...wasn't great with food but not as bad as it could have been.
WEDNESDAY
B - porridge with blueberries and honey (for the cold!) (323)
S - cereal bar (85)
L - sweet potato soup (140)
D - pasta with mushrooms and a dolmio(!) sauce (545)
S - pineapple (138), soya hot chocolate (110), 1 square dark chocolate (27)
Total for day - 1395
So despite the pasta dinner and the naughty snacks, still under calories
Hope everyone else is having a good week!0 -
Am being bad, staying off carbs and sugar but having too much crunchy peanut butter by the spoonful, bored solid here in bed with the sniffles! Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0

Afternoon All
I am managing a brief break before going back to work - covering DDiL's evening as she, DS and DGD are on holiday.
I managed to get a cancellation at the dentist at lunchtime so have a very numb mouth - injections in both sides and instructions not to eat anything hard for 24 hours. I've been swigging Jersey milk as I can't eat and had to use DGD's cup with straw to stop myself dribbling.
B: Raspberries with Greek yoghurt
L: Hm chicken soupNothing planned except copious amounts of milk and maybe a bit more soup.
Exercise: One hour Pilates. Walks here and there amounting to around 3 miles.

Not a brilliant food day - had a pasta school dinner and a flapjack as it came with the dinner:o Then had a portion of aloo saag for tea with 2 small pitta breads.
Only dog walking as exercise today - flipping twilight INSET sessions - whoever dreamt that idea up hasn't taught for a while, the last thing you want after a long day, 2 boring hours about regulations and paperwork - yawn.....
Actually had a good day otherwise today - wore my new jacket and trousers and got loads of nice comments about them. One lady even said that I always looked lovely and she wished she was brave enough to not stick to boring grey suits all the time! Made my day!:)
Three people also suddenly said that I'd lost weight (obviously haven't since yesterday!) so I think they've just noticed - its funny that you don't really "look" at people when you see them every day I suppose.
Had a sneaky weigh this morning and the scales looked favourable but will do a proper weigh in tomorrow and declare it then.0 -

Hi Dragon, Ragz and everyone else, I found myself spending more time on the low-carb thread and decamped for a while, can I come back? It's not nice over there atm (we have a troll).
Anyway, it seems like good timing with a new challenge about to start. I'm primed and ready for the off. But I'm struggling to lose atm as the GP's stuck me back on what feels like huge quantities of wheat prior to having a coeliac test - so at the moment my default goal is to 'not gain'. But I guess that's not much of a challenge so, assuming I'm not persona non grata, I'm aiming for 7lb please Dragon and I'll do my bestest, dib dib dib. I've done well here in the past so with any luck it will be the spur I need not to let all the good work go.
I'm still pretty much paleo/ low-carb because of the blood sugar problems but with the wheat I'm having to re-think the fat intake so I'm eating more Harcombe than Atkins.Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants - Michael Pollan
48 down, 22 to go
Low carb, low oxalate Primal + dairy
From size 24 to 16 and now stuck...0 -

So I came in after muchos wine last night and for some reason started reading humorous internet articles (while trying not to laugh and wake the housemates). But I stumbled (not literally) on the below article on why we can't break bad habits, which I made a lot of my weight loss faux pas make a lot of sense. I warn you, this site has nothing to do with dieting, it's a humor site that gives interesting facts (sometimes), and might not be your sort of thing, so if it's not ignore me!
