I have to stop using OS as an excuse for stuffing my face with left overs and pastry/cakes, and plan my meals a bit better with smaller portions! :EasterBun

  • The bargain trousers from the Next sale arrived today and, hurrah, they are a size 10 and a teeny bit too big:j I will keep them as an 8 is just a pipedream and they are a nice shape and colour (kind of like a flannel grey but not too thick a material) and go well with the grey and pink tweedy jacket from the sale. Will give them their first public airing tomorrow.

I did have a smallish slice of birthday cake at work today - will be good tonight to make up for it. I set off for a really long dog walk when I got home as it looked like the rain had stopped - got to the furthest point away from home and a deluge started again. Had to strip to underwear when I got through the door at home. Getting really really fed up with the rain now......

  • Welcome Tumbletots - We start a new challenge next week, running 12 weeks until Christmas - so target is what you hope to lose by then. We normally weigh in on a Friday morning (make sure to post your loss in a different colour text). Good luck!

    slight rant alert I'm afraid:
My what a long day- at the drop of a hat I had to prepare a new CV so the boss can put me forward in bids for new work. On one level I'm really flattered that he wants to stick my CV out there to sell the company, and I was one of only a few whose CVs were going out. On the other hand, I wasn't impressed at having to drop everything else to work on this today, given the amount of deadlines that have appeared next week!

Anyways, I have a big work dinner tomorrow night - 5 courses (so not much more than usual then?), then on Friday I'm off to visit the parentals for 4 days. I sort of wish I could cancel my leave, as I'm so stressed and have put in so many extra hours just preparing to be out the office for 2 days!

    My day:
B: toast with LF jam and a banana
L: Ham salad sandwich, 2 apples, 2 clementines
D: Pepper and chorizo pasta sauce (without pasta), garlic mushrooms cooked in passata and white wine, curried courgette slices and tomato and cheese flat bread (it wasn't as much as it sounds, but I have to run down the perishables) followed by a chocolate mousse

Didn't go to the gym after work, as I had to work late to make up the time lost working on my CV  Now time to go pack, carry on working and maybe get in a bit of sleep at some stage!
  • Good evening

It's actually not been horrible rain here today! It's threatened it a few times but never actually poured

Meant Doggy Paws and I have had 3 nice walks today. I alwas try and walk around the playing field at least twice, briskly, in the morning, to go somewhere off the field at lunch, usually round the big farm field behind or a loop round another field back to the road and then in the evening, I stroll around and make him run a lot to wear him out! It's worked today - he's flat out on the floor beside me!

b- porridge & dried fruit, oj
l- sandwich from shop, slice choc roll
d- chicken kiew, rice & stir fry veg
    s- apple
    e- doggy walking as above

I bought some maltesers when I stopped at the garage but I've left them in the hall and I think they can stay there until tomorrow!

I have a meeting for work tomorrow so not sure what I'll have to eat!!

Hello again. I've been awol for a couple of weeks as we've been on holiday. I was very good while we were away and only had apfelstrudel once!
I'm going to weigh myself on Friday if that's ok Dragon, and start again on Saturday. I'm aiming for 7lbs again. I know I haven't reached my original target, but at least it's not going up, and the challenge is making me think more about what I do eat. Thanks for all the hints and encouragement.

Well done WelshWoofer on reaching size 10. I think I was in my teens the last time I was that size!!!!

Thanks Dragon for taking over the challenge, and also thanks to ragz for running it so well. Hope the studies go well. I haven't been here for very long, but I have been made welcome, and I thank you all for that.
