    Morning all :)

Weighed in this morning, 2lb gain?! think the witch is still hovering, hope to see a loss next week.

Didn't make it to swimming last night, as my ankle started hurting from yesterday's run, and I didn't want to aggravate it further. Will go tonight though as we're going out for dinner tonight and tomorrow, so need to bank some extra calories :(

    Today:
    Breakfast: fruit corner
Lunch: square wrap, homous, rocket, apple, satsumas, babybel
Dinner: out at Strada, will try to go for healthy options and limit the wine to a few glasses. it's DH's turn to drive though

Exercise: swim after work, or if my ankle feels up to it, Body attack class

    Morning

    I have had a 1 lb loss!

For me any loss is good because I have thyroid problem, and I just can't get the exercise going, I just don't have the energy I should. So I am just using walking as my exercise each day but I am trying to push the distance a bit more each time I go. I find January and February really difficult months to have any motivation to diet so pretty pleased with the 1lb loss today.

    Aim to lose 10lbs:)

CCP - Like I said in my last post, you have to take it over a longer period of time really. If you think about how much you eat, drink, wee and poo... the amounts are not the same each day. Some days your body hangs on to more water, some days it chooses to release it. This can be influenced by illness, hormones, exercise, eating... Certain nutrients like carbs 'hold' water in your body and when they are burned for energy the water is released. If you have a low carb day, your body will release water as it uses its own carb supplies. I actually notice myself weeing more some days and when I weigh next day there's always a loss!

Littlemoog - I didn't make it swimming last night either as I have a cold and was all achey. Sorry about the gain, do you want to weigh again tomorrow and see if it's gone? I gained 2lbs in a day this week but one went this morning...

Need2bthrifty - have I missed you off the challenge list? If so let me know your details and I will add you on x

    You're all doing great. :j

I have done my weigh in this evening (claiming 2lb loss) before I undid all of this weeks good work with a poorly thought out dinner, using up leftovers on a pizza base. I did carefully weigh out the cheese though, in an attempt at some damage limitation. After consuming far more calories than I knew was good for me, I washed it down with a cup of tea and a coffee and walnut muffin.

    Hi

I'd like to rejoin this thread please. Have a few pounds I'd like to lose, and think that this thread will help me focus (can't afford a weight loss class).

I weighed this morning and am currently 9stone 11 lbs. I'd like to get down to 9stone, which is still above my ideal weight but is achieveable I think. I will update my weight weekly from today.

I exercise 4-5 times a week, so that's in hand, I just need to focus on what I'm eating.

    Plan for today:
B - Low cal cereal bar
    L - Sandwich / cup a soup
D - WW fish pie and mixed veg
    Snacks - Banana, raisans

RAGZ - please can I sign up for the challenge? I'd like to aim for 11lbs loss by Easter. Thanks.

  • Hi all. Unfortunately wi hasn't really gone to plan. Went to do Zumba DVD at mils house on Monday and yesterday. Both times I weighed myself on the wii and both times it said I'd lost 4lbs which means it thinks I've lost 8lbs this week which had never happened! I'd be surprised looking at myself of I've lost 1lb. I'm puttin it down to her having a soft carpet and us having a firmer carpet so is messing up the readings. We're going to try and find a board to put it on and see if it helps.
  • Well done everyone so far today :j

I am definitely on my witchy time with avengeance ! and I weighed myself Tuesday before it started and I had lost 3 more lbs then last night I had put 5 on :rotfl: so wasn't looking good for this morning as I usually put loads of fluid on at this time.
However I want to report a loss of 2 lbs this morning so I am really pleased as I haven't been too naughty.

This last 2 weeks I am feeling really determined to do this and am just in the right frame of mind for a change. Haven't had any cravings which is really unusual for me , especially this time of the month !

    Breakfast: F&F + ss milk
Lunch: hm soup and a hm bread roll
Dinner: will update later but I don't eat anything after 6pm
    Snacks:
Drinks: water and maybe a milky coffee later

    Keep up the good work
    DC xx

I've popped back on to say well done on all the losses!!

It's encouraging to read about looking at the bigger and longer picture. I think we put so much emphasis on seeing a reward for our efforts (the scales reading a loss) that we get wrapped up about weigh in day... I know I do.

I'll be with you all sometime trying to cope and stay focused when I have stayed the same or had a gain so I empathise with those of us who have not shown a loss - I guess that is all it is, a piece of equipment showing a reading - the real work will be in our bodies, changing shape outwardly and getting healthy inwardly.

I have never looked upon weight loss as a long term picture. It has always been a focus on a loss each week and when that doesn't happen 'this expensive diet doesn't work - quit' This way rocks in every sense!
