    Evening:)

    Hugs to Pigsmayfly x

Strange how some days sticking to a diet is no problem and other days, for no particular reason, food is all you can think about and its hard to stop eating everything in sight!!!

However, today was pretty good for me, I think the weigh in tomorrow maybe the reason for that!!

B - GF Muesli, rice milk and a pear
L - Half a pot of salad bar salad, bit of tinned salmon, half a GF roll
D - Pork and red cabbage, hm ww recipe chocolate pud
    S - 1 crunchie, 1 apple
    Summer weightloss challenge
    Aim to lose 10lbs:)

Just binged big time! 2 packs of crisps, two rocky bars, a piece of cake and a large slice of white toast smothered in clover. Now feel sick and cross :(

Had Doctors apt this morning for results of latest thyroid function test, one level has gone back up when it should be going down (possibly explains my awful short term memory at the moment, feeling stiff and cold), the crazy but lovely doctor is testing me for loads of odd things I don't understand to get to the bottom of it, I have to have loads of blood tests next week. It's nice that he's thorough but I am utterly befuddled now, so I came home and ate everything...
I googled one thing he thought I may have and I don't think it's that but doesn't help much.

Ragz, I know the feeling I've been getting all sorts of test over the past couple of years because my bone marrow is obviously playing silly bu**ers and blood levels are all over the shop, but thankfully not to the point where they want to anything about it other than monitor them. I know its difficult going through it and hope you get things sorted soon, after all this time I've got to the point of not thinking too much about it.

However on the subject of dieting I’m really pleased that I have been sticking to my plan – I decided to try and cut down on the amount of carbs I ate this 1st week, I love my veg but they always seemed to play a poor third to everything else on the plate. So especially at my evening meal I removed the pasta/rice/potatoes/etc and doubled up the amount of veg I had and have found that I am not nearly so bloated. I will start introducing them back gradually on week 2 but probably as part of lunch, so as not to feel tired and sluggish in the evening.

I’m also happy to say that there is still some shortbread and a mini Christmas cake in the cupboard but I am managing to leave them be, should really put them in the freezer - then at least they have to defrost before I can munch.

    Anyway today's menu has been
B – Yoghurt with grapefruit & orange segments
L – Mung Bean Soup, Crackers. Apple
D – ½ a large fillet of Smoked Haddock, poached egg, steamed spinach & broccoli (heavy on the protein I know, but it was lovely)
Snacks = 1 pear and saving 2 digestive biscuits for later.

Good luck to everyone for the weigh in tomorrow.

  • Evening All,

I've had a busy day and this is really the first time I've had chance to sit down for long. I'm babysitting for DGD and have kept busy tidying toys away and doing some vacuuming. Add to that 2 exercise classes this morning, lunch out with DH, DS, DDiL and DGD and an afternoon at work and you can see why I've only just sat down.

B: Bowl of fruit and nut muesli with extra raisins.
    S: Banana
L: Double egg and chips, Coke.
T: Prawn salad wrap. 2 Clementines.
S: 1/2 small bar of dark chocolate.

Exercise: 1 1/2 hours of Pilates. Walks to exercise class, cafe, DS's and work and back so about 3-4 miles in total.

I think I may have to adjust my weight loss challenge to wanting to lose 10lb rather than 7lb Ragz as I have a feeling I am back up to 9st 2 this week after a quick weigh this morning. I'd rather adjust it up so I can count the losses rather than waiting to get back to 8st 13 before recording it if you see what I mean. It's probably fluid retention due to the time of the month but I might as well be accurate.

  • Evening all,

    Pigsmightfly ((hugs))

Well not too bad for the last few days. Good to read about all your journeys this week, good or bad, we are all still here :T

    Food today:
    B: porridge banana
    S: 2 clementines
    L: cheese salad sandwich
    S: 2 bourbon biscuits :o
    D: 1roti and mushroom & sweetcorn curry
    S: frozen yogurt

Exercise: usual walking 1 hour plus 150 reps of various squats, chair dips and press ups

Never tried quinoa but might get some and try it out coz of the protein content x
  • Been pretty good this week surprisingly - saw GP yesterday who gave me scan results, and although generally good there are some fatty changes on my liver so definitely going to stick at this.

Evenings are the worst - sit down, relax and instantly crave something sweet for dessert. Each time this happens I now make a cup of tea instead as I have it with sweeteners it usually helps take the craving away. Simply a habit I've got into as I'm not actually hungry.

Did get very peckish when I came in from work today. If I do get to this stage I have a couple of DRY low fat cream crackers. Because I don't put any spread on them they take ages to eat, so it feels more satisfying somehow (not worked out the logic of this myself).

Will nip on to the Wii when I get home from work tomorrow afternoon for the weekly weigh in. Must admit I am feeling much better for the healthier eating - not been bloated once this week.

:( I think about food ALL the time. I wake up thinking about food, and my last thoughts are tomorrow's potential food. I'll be eating one meal and planning the next.....:(

GOT TO GET A GRIP :rotfl::rotfl:

Hugs to all who need them. Sorry to hear of heartbreak troubles. But onwards and upwards, though it may not feel like it at the moment.

    hi,
im new on here. two years ago i weighed 11 6. im 5 foot 4 so this was a lot for me as i was always 8 stone something. then i did weight watchers and got to 8 10. then kept this off for two years and the week before christmas i weighed and realised i weighed 9 13. i knew what i had to do. started tracking all my food and cutting back. im now back to 9 3 but i do binge so this could change at any time. i need to get to 9 stone and not crave sweet stuff and binge on it. im like someone else on here - cant remember who - i think about food all time. its all about whats next for the next meal. i love baking and love eating more but i have no clothes left that fit so i need to take action.

    Morning all,

Ragz, I would like to report a loss of 5lb please. I am very happy about this but from here on in just a lb a week will do. I have been using MFP and having quite a few extra calories as I have done loads of exercise every day. I must admit I was sceptical about having the extra calories and still losing weight but it has worked for me this week so I will keep going. I have got Your Shape coming today for the Xbox so that's something new to try.

  • "]Disappointing start for me 2 pounds on:(

Two contributing factors I can think of are Christmas excess finally catching up and return to work means lots of sitting, although I have been cycling to pick DS up from school.

Important thing is to not give up. I will keep trying as I think I did really well this week, so that might pay off next week.
