Happy Weigh In Day, everyone,
My scales are reporting a nice healthy 1lb loss for me today :j
Happy with that.:)
I'm not counting calories at all, simply have cut out snacks and alcohol, and am eating smaller portions. I've also increased my exercise slightly (walking on weekends). As the evenings get lighter, I'll be able to walk on evenings, too but that's sometime off yet!
Good luck to all for good weight loss today. Keep going to those who don't lose or put on. It's the bigger picture to keep yor eye on, not just this week's weigh in.
Sharon - I LOVE that spicy lentil soup. Will be making a double portion this weekend for next week's lunches. YUM!
TFI Friday :T

Good morning everyone
Ragz I have lost 2 pounds , I am over the moon with that. 1 more stone and I will officially be not overweight anymore.
Yesterday I walked to the swimming pool, then found out I couldn't swim as aqua aerobics was booked, so hopefully I will have a good swim today to make up for it.
My meal plans for today are -
B - porridge with mixed dried fruit
L - wholemeal pitta, LF houmous, tomatoes, cucumber, grated carrot
D - macaroni cheese [made with LF cheese sauce], side salad
S's -fruit, nuts.
Good luck to everyone who is weighing in. Have a great day!0 -
Morning all - and good luck for those weighing later today.
Pleased to report 1lb lost! I know it's not a huge loss, but I'm trying the slightly smaller plate / slightly more exercise diet, so I should expect smaller (and hopefully longer-term) losses.2023 Decluttering Campaign: 89/20230 -
Morning all
I am pleased to report a 2lb loss this morning. Quite pleased as this week I mainly cut out snacks but this week I am going to start reducing my portions. Will think about exercise next week-1 step at a time then I might stick to it!!
Good luck everyoneweight loss 6/21 lbs0 -
Morning All and Congrats and Well Done to all those who have recorded a loss.
I am declaring a loss of 4lbs (woop, woop, :j:j:j) it is much more than I anticipated but I think it’s probably down to that time of the month, even though I am menopausal my witchy time was always around the time of the full moon. Next week will be the cruncher.
But I will remain positive and continue with the food plan, my incentive is that I have a beloved pair of designer jeans in the back of the wardrobe that I haven't been able to get into for about 8 years and have refused to give them away. There's no lycra in them so when I can get them fastened without lying on the floor using a bootlace to pull up the zip and there's no huge "muffin top" hanging over the waist I will let you know.
Today's menu is
B – Yoghurt with grapefruit & orange segments
L – Mung Bean Soup. Orange
D – l/o smoked haddock & spinach Pilaf, green beans.

Well done on the losses so far! For those who have gained or STS, don't feel bad - one week is nothing in the bigger picture and if you really have been 'good' it will show in the next week or two.
To give you an example... last WI I was 11st10lb, Tuesday I was 11st9lb and yesterday I was 11st11lb! Today I am back to 11st10lb... I am not too bothered, I have a cold which tends to make me retain a little fluid and I know that some WILL come off on the next week or two...
You have to look at your figures (no pun intended) over a longer period and it will be more encouraging, some people's bodies take longer to catch up than others xxJune Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

Morning,
Today I can report a 1lb loss
Going to step up my exercise perhaps 45 mins a day rather than 30 minutes.
Have a good weekend all x0 -
Morning all.
Very well done to everyone who's lost this week, and best of luck to absolutely everyone.I stepped on the scales again this morning, just out of interest, and I weigh 1lb more than I did yesterday, which would make this week 1lb lost rather than 2. A quick question for ragz (or anyone else who knows about these things) - why does a person's weight change from day to day? I know it does, but I've never been clear on why.
Today goes:
B - porridge with brown sugar
S - banana
L - white roll with a couple of thin slices of LO meatloaf and a sliced tomato; mug of veg soup
S - apple
D - not sure yet - I'm going to raid the M&S meal deal at lunchtime but I don't know yet what I'm going to pick - something that isn't covered in puff pastry, I think!
Exercise - my usual lunchtime walk to and from the shopsBack after a very long break!0 -
Morning all, first weigh in today and I'm very pleased to report a 3 pound loss, and that's without really trying! I walked to and from work on Monday and Tuesday (only about 15 mins each way, but every little helps, lol!), and used the stairs instead of the lift on both days, also on Tuesday I did about an hour on the Biggest Loser Wii game, and then on Wednesday I spent most of the day cleaning the oven, and was worn out and aching by the end of the day, so I must have burned off a few calories doing that.
I've not been counting calories but have been having smaller portions, although I have still had some things which I shouldn't as we are still using up some things left over from Christmas, because I refuse to throw food away. Was very pleased with myself on Saturday, as I was at work all alone, in a room which had 2 boxes of shortbread, a tin of quality street, a box of celebrations and a few other naughties, and I was only tempted to have 1 piece of shortbread, even though I was the only person who would have known if I had more! This was something of a miracle for me as I can quite easily eat a whole box of shortbread, lol! I have to admit that I took the lid off the tin of chocs, and the huge waft of chocolate that came out was very tempting, but I stayed strong and put the lid back on!Weight loss challenge 2/10lbs
