So against my better judgement I tried intermittent fasting. Great I originally lost 3 lbs but have now put back on 1.5 lbs after eating sensibly. I also fainted and blacked out so much so that my poor dog cannot be coaxed out from under the table. Im obviously not a suitable candidate. I drank loads whilst doing it and yes it was very easy but obviously there are side effects. Be very careful - IM BACK TO SENSIBLE EATING NOW :eek::eek:
Oh no! How much did you not eat? I have been kind of doing it, but my version involves not eating until lunch time (keeping my body in the morning fat burning mode), then having soup for lunch and then a light dinner and allowing snack like yogurt or peanut butter. Probably over 500cal in total. I just find if I don't eat breakfast I feel fine and not nearly as hungry.
Birthday meal yesterday, had a sensible main - chicken and ratatouille with just a few sauted new potatoes (yummy) but then did have chocolate torte for dessert. However I think it was the 3 bottles of 'ginger beer' and pint of cider that contributed to my weight gain this morning!
MrsCD, thanks for birthday wishes and I have added your loss to the list.June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

Happy Birthday Ragz!! Hope you had a lovely evening!
Just a quick stop by for me to ask if anyone has any good exercises that focus on slimming around the hips? I've pretty much lost it from the top down - chest 1.5 inches, waist (thinnest part) 1 inch, hips, 0.25 inches ON.
I typically do 10 mins on crosstrainer, 15 mins intermittent running on the treadmill, 5-10 mins on the bikes, 6 reps of squats with a kettle, 6 reps of step ups (tall step) with 10kg on my shoulders, and 10 mins with a weight ball, or I go to Zumba. Anything I should do more of, or that I can add?0 -

Hello slimmers! I'm back!
Had a rather brilliant time in Ibiza - lots of sunbathing, people watching, reading, swimming and general lazing about. Have a nice tan now but I'm feeling decidedly podgier and more bloated than I was before I went. That hasn't been helped by having to go to Wales yesterday afternoon when I got back to pick up the dog and being force fed an unwanted chinese takeaway last night and a massive Sunday lunch by mum. Oh well, I'm back on the wagon now. Dreading the weigh in tomorrow morning but I'll be brave and jump on the scales in the morning and attempt to repair the damage asap.
Will have a quick whizz through the posts in a mo - hope you're all ok?0 -
