  • Sticking To Your Weight Loss Program
It is not easy to stick with a weight loss program. Some people feel punished and unsuccessful when the diets they choose do not work for the first few days. They already feel like a failure especially if there is a struggle with completely staying with the program. But there are hundreds ...

Report on the lasagne using leek 'leaves' instead of pasta sheets - it was much tastier, lighter and definitely good enough to serve it to visitors :D

This sounds very exciting! Would you be so kind to post the link again for me? :) (apologies if it is further up the thread, I must've missed it).

I've had the courgette fake pasta a few times and that works a treat as well.

Hello all, I'm creeping back in after joining a while ago then falling off the wagon almost right away :o

Back again now to focus on portion sizes and balancing the nutrition better. I am also going to try having cereals for lunch as well as breakfast sometimes, with a (hopefully) balanced meal in the evening, as I am finding while I'm on school holidays I tend to get very carried away with lunches.

I fall off the wagon spectacularly and I don't really know if I can do this. I know WHAT to do, I just doubt my ability to do it.

Well, here goes. Just weighed myself  and today's menu is:

    B Cornflakes and skimmed milk

    L Shredded wheat, melon

    S Iced Soya milk coffee

D Chicken breast with broad beans, new potatoes and broccoli

S s/f jelly and greek yoghurt

Just done the normally horrific task of trying on beachwear for my little holiday next week and it wasn't actually too bad. Now I'm not saying I'd parade around Tescos in a bikini but I was pleasantly surprised.:) I think all of the exercise has made a massive difference to my shape (not necessarily my weight but that has changed too) and I don't jiggle as much as I thought I would and my cellulite seems to have improved a tiny bit.

Some of my linen trousers were actually too big:rotfl:

So a big sigh of relief and a big pile of ironing to do tomorrow!

:TWay hay.:T Go for it Girl:cheesy: Well done. It's milestones like that which make it all seem worth while.

I stupidly missed breakfast today and then my blood sugar has gone too low and no seems unsettled.

Lunch wholemeal roll and battenberge cake

Dinner spare ribs, new potatoes and salad. followed by the ice cream we didn't have last night but had planned

    Exercise
2000 steps. - already done that my pedometer is already flashing green - might make it to 3000.

  • Hello All

Just a quick post as I'm off to work again soon.

Molly41, I totally agree with the nightshift playing havoc with your eating and dietary system, my belt is always a hole looser by the end.

    Today:
    all bran & fruit
hm corned beef hash with lots of extra veg
Porridge and fruit for work later

Snacks: banana, lf yoghurt, nv bar

I also managed a 45 min walk in the lovely sunshinewith shammy dog this afternoon, would love to just sit in the garden with a glass of wine tonight, but hey ho, there's a mortgage to pay.

Hope everyone's had a good day, good luck for tomorrow, may wait and weigh in on Saturday.

I think it was a permanent night shift for just over a year that really finished me off - by the end of that I was eating junk food exclusively and had no good habits left at all!

Just got back from a walk up the canal towpath, two buzzards wheeling overhead - so beautiful! I didn't walk far and took it easy but it's a start.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

    Evening All,

I thought I wasn't going to be able to get on the internet tonight as I'm babysitting for DGD. My computer usually logs on here automatically just as at home but for once it wouldn't. However, a quick phone call to DH and I'm logged on via BT Openzone instead.

I've had a busy day and my meals have been at odd times but I have still eaten well.

B/L: Courgette, mushroom, garlic and cheese frittata
L/D: (At a carvery) Roast gammon with cabbage, peas, carrots, sweetcorn, green beans and cauliflower cheese. (At home) Chocolate mousse.
Snack: 4 butter mintoes at DGD's whilst tidying.

    Exercise: 3 mile walk.
