I had a lovely day yesterday, deliberately not healthy as it was my "life begins at" birthday.Had lovely lunch out with some fab friends and family and mum made me a scrummy birthday cake.
Awoke this morning feeling tired a little down, probs because back to work today, nightshifts start again tonight, so hoping for a STS on Friday's weigh in. If only you could buy motivation in a tin.:rotfl:
Plan for today:
B: all bran and fruit
L: l/o hm beef stirfry with a few noodleshm lasagne and salad
S: may succumb to a small piece of l/o b'day cake later.
Porridge and fruit for work later and a nature valley bar.
Ex: unmotivated today so 2 x dog walks (75mins) and housework, may try a 30 min dvd later
I'm off to bed now with my book for an easy afternoon and a little nap (hopefully)
Will catch up with everyone tomorrow.

Have a good night and Happy Birthday for yesterday. I remember well that first night - I think it is because you are having to adjust your body clock and effectively are awake 24 hours plus. It used to play havoc with my tummy and I ended up really bloated by 7am the next morning.I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -

Happy Belated BirthdayReport on the lasagne using leek 'leaves' instead of pasta sheets - it was much tastier, lighter and definitely good enough to serve it to visitors
Enjoy the afternoons Olympics viewing

Happy Birthday DaisyDayDream for yesterday!
Well today is a very special day, as it marks one year since I started my first real full time grown-ups job! So I thought that was worth celebrating. I thought maybe take-away, some ice cream and a bottle of wine, so I came home and cooked a SW stir fry (aka healthy), but I did treat myself to some pakoras (shop bought and oven cooked). I don't make any promises on the wine though.
My day:
B: Toast with spread
L: Ham salad roll with a bananapork stir fry with egg noddles, 4 pakoras
S: Chocolate cereal bar, which is actually the cheapest not-unhealthy snack available from work (130 cals)
E:20 mins of quick walking, back to the gym tomorrow!0 -
Just done the normally horrific task of trying on beachwear for my little holiday next week and it wasn't actually too bad. Now I'm not saying I'd parade around Tescos in a bikini but I was pleasantly surprised.:) I think all of the exercise has made a massive difference to my shape (not necessarily my weight but that has changed too) and I don't jiggle as much as I thought I would and my cellulite seems to have improved a tiny bit.
Some of my linen trousers were actually too big:rotfl:
So a big sigh of relief and a big pile of ironing to do tomorrow!0 -
Evening All
Another busy day and I've not been long back from work. I had a really long run this morning - my friend is planning all the runs we do and I just go along. Apparently once every 3 weeks is a long run and today was it - all 8.5 miles of it!! We set off early so it wasn't too hot and I actually really enjoyed it - and even could have gone further. We only run slowly so it took us just under 2 hours in total but we have a good chat and enjoy the scenery as we go. Surprisingly, I didn't feel particularly hungry at lunchtime so didn't actually eat as much as I often do.
B: 2 boiled eggs with one slice of toast and butter.
L: Cold chicken thigh. HM chocolate mousse.
T: (Pack up at work) Prawn mayonnaise salad - same constituents as yesterday. Raspberries with Greek yoghurt.
Snack: 20g of dark chocolate.
Exercise: 8.5 mile run. 4 miles of walking - some to work and back, some at end of run.

Jammy - I've found a better one that's easier to use www.runmyroute.com - much quicker and easier to create routes and save them and look at them again.
Just back from the run and I did 4k without stopping - it was very hot though and I found it harder to do than when it was raining on Tuesday. But I made it! Next time I'm doing 4.5K by adding an extra street.
I did look like a sweaty mess though and a couple of old grannies I ran past said " good for you love, keep going!" and clapped, think they've taken the Olympics to heart!
Weigh in day tomorrow -wish it was now, I've lost about 3 stone in sweat!
Have walked the dog in the park once this morning and will go again later when its cooled down again for him.
Off to update myfitnesspal with the cals burned......0 -
I dont know what is the matter with me today- I am so hungry!!! Maybe its all the exercise!
Today:
B: blueberries, strawberries and banana with greek yog and a sprinkle of chopped nuts
S: small piece cheese and chopped carrots
L: tuna salad with 2 x oranges
S: apple and 20g nuts
T: cajun spiced chicken hm pitta and hm hummous
Had a sneaky WI this morning and it seems I have lost the pound I put on last week (fingers crossed) but thats all so that puts me back at 10st dead where I have been stuck for weeks and weeks and weeks!!!

Mighty mighty pleased with that but no telling whether or not it will stay. Another weekend of exercise all day, indulging all night coming up so we'll have to see which has more effect come next week!0
