On Hairy Dieters yesterday Im sure they said that the bikers were only allowed 1200 calories per day - that is very low for a couple of tall blokes. Perhaps that was for the benefit of the programme?
I liked the ethos of the programme though as it is what we are about - home cooked OS meals and will be trying out the leek in place of lasagne.
Too many bis-cuits for me today:eek:
I am planning my meals for the week so hopefully more in control.
I wonder what makes the switch flick as regards motivation - I just dont have it atm. I have 4 weeks to my holiday so can feel a mini-challenge coming on!I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Welshwoofer, well done on the couch to 5k! I'm still too scared to run in public, but you're really inspiring!
WantobeSE, I got a good sports bra for about £7, or £4 for a medium support one that pinches a bit, both from Matalan.
My day has been fairly good-
B: cereal with yoghurt
L: had lunch in the town, baked potato with Tuna (no mayo, but I did get a bit of butter)pasta with pesto and veg
S: cuppa soup, a bit of cheese, 4 pieces of chocolate
E: Lots of walking (prob 4 miles?)
Now the yoghurt is done I'm saying byebye to dairy tomorrow. I also have a personal training session  I had to sign up for one when I joined my gym- wish me luck!
p.s. so far the secret of the skinny housemate is that she eats very slowly. She nursed a salad for about 40 mins earlier.0 -

Morning all!
What a day in the Olympics - very exciting! More medals to come today too with guaranteed medals in the tennis and I'm hoping that the Brownlee brothers in the triathlon will do well too. In my little fantasy world I'd love to be a triathlete - they just look so fit and strong. The only part I could do at the moment is the swimming (and much slower than they do it):rotfl:. Hope Mrs Farah hasn't gone into labour yet!
I'm off on an organised 8 mile walk today with my walking group in Cheshire. Hope the weather isn't too bad.
I've made some sandwiches and fruit for lunch to eat on the way and will probably have the other half of the curry I made last night for tea. On average, these walks burn off about 750 cals so may well treat myself to something little later too.
Hope everyone has a good day.0 -
I loved watching it, a very proud moment indeed! A bit worrying when Mo's daughter weighs more than him! Without the crowd I don't think he would of come first. Wasnt it lovely to see his training partner of the US help him out and then take silver, friendship is worth more than a gold medal after all£20k in 2023 = £2718 £2023 in 2023 = £196.41 Grocery challenge £250= £195.80 **MONEY MAKES ME HAPPY**0

I have done 'The Shred' this morning. Im on day 6 (dont do it the days I go swimming) so at day 10 I will go to level 2- I was thinking about moving up sooner but think ill do 10 days of each level
This morning I have updated myfitnesspal with a new goal (8lbs gone before my hols!) and put my waist, hips and arm measurements on there as well.
Im treating this as a fresh start and hope to motivate myself abit this way- I must get back to filling MFP everyday as I did really well before by doing this- I think its the shame of eating too many calories :rotfl:and the fact it says 'eat this way everyday and you'll be x pounds'
Im going to watch the hairy dieter's this morning whilst I do my ironing
Have a good dayO/S weight loss 2.5 /10lbs (11st 8.0- 08.02)0 -
After doing my first couch to 5 k run in at least 10 weeks yesterday and it was at week 4 in the programme I have some very achey bits this morning. So I think I will have to do some good stretch yoga this morning to get me moving.
I need to target waist and hips any idea on best exersices apart from sit ups? 4 weeks to holiday and I am determined to be in better shape by then.
So eating diary daily on my fitness pal and some form of exercise daily especially targeting flabby stomach.
I have 1200 as my calorie allowance plus I am going to use no more than half of my exersice calories daily.
4weeks to loose 7 lbs and shape up a bit ;-)Living the dream and retired in Cyprus :j
