Wow, I really felt idle after reading the weekend achievements, so decided I would go to the gym after all. Wasn't going cos I have the decorator here but as he's a long-time friend of DD and DSiL I felt I could trust him. He's also a very fit(!) gym instructor, dare I pick his brains about belly reduction or would that be a bit cheeky? Will see how I feel tomorrow..
B - F&F sk milk
L - Orange, nectarine, nana
D - Pork loin chop, roasted roots, little gravy. Apple
S - pear, melon, satsuma
E - gym this morning, doubled my time on treadmill as both rowers were occupied. Just at the end of my second 6 weeks so time to have a chat with the pt, there are some times I want to step up and weights I want to increase. Only 2.5kg at a time though, let's not be too ambitious!
Have a sunny rest of the day0 -

After talking to my sister (who has quite severe cerebral palsy) , I've taken leave of my senses and only gone and volunteered and registered for a 10K run in early March to help raise money for the adult disabilities centre she attends.
The place provides water therapy, reiki, massage etc for adults with disabilities and those going through cancer treatment etc. Its also a social meeting place and a really fab resource for those that use it.
Its all funded by donations and is always in need of more cash. She was telling me about a woman who was doing a sponsored slim for them so I blurted out I'd do a run:eek:
The most obvious one was the St Davids Day 10K in Cardiff on March 2nd and before I knew what I was saying I'd agreed, registered and now here I am barely being able to run 4K with 6 months to go.:rotfl:
I know that now I've said I'll do it I won't let them down so it will give me some focus to keep on running.
Feeling much better now I've been for a walk, think the legs will be ready for a trot tomorrow, better had be.......
Go Welsh Woofer and dont forget to put a link on here to your donation page so we can support you:T:T:TI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.

Hello all, including the newbies.

Been MIA all weekend, find nightshifts so difficult, I develop "fog brain". Food wise was ok, kept within my calorie allowance, but no exercise, must find a way to exercise on my "at work days".
Today
B: all bran & fruit
L: potato & pea frittata & beansbeef stirfry & noodles
S: fruit, lf yoghurt
Ex: 30min run/walk this am, 45 min dog walk later
Hope everyone's had a good monday.

Welsh Woofer Well done for signing up for your 10K. I am sure you'll find it easy as you are nearly half way there already. I had never run till November last year and only started to keep my friend company, having sworn I hated running and would never run. She persuaded me to sign up for a 10K in June this year and we actually also did one in March as a trial run. So you have loads of time. And you are a lot younger than me - I'm 54 and the friend who persuaded me and still gets me out running with her now is 63.

WelshWoofer - Well done, a great way to keep you focused and all for a good cause!
My day:
B - Tinned Peached and Homemade Yoghurt
L - Special K + Green Milk
D - Lamb (with most of the naughty bits trimmed off), Boiled New Potatoes, Curly Kale, Courgette and Aubergine
S - Apple, Nectarine, Kiwi, Plum + Nutri Grain Bar
Hmmm... now that I've written it down it seems like an awful lot of food but I guess the majority of it isn't very calorie dense... I might have to count it all up now as I'm a little worried!
Exercise - 3 mile bike ride (leisurely pace), 30 minute power hooping
Hope that everyone did well with their day!* Be happy, be heart shaped, sparkle and shine *0 -

Evening All
I've had a busy day with an early run and then work till 5. I felt really tired and very hungry when I got home, but managed to resist the temptation to nibble whilst the meal was cooking.
Sparrer I quite often don't manage to stick to one tsp of peanut butter but try to push the jar right to the back of the cupboard so I forget about it.
B: Muesli with extra seeds and raisins sprinkled on it and a dash of double cream with the skimmed milk.
L: (Pack up for work) Ham and cream cheese rolls with salad - HG lettuce, cucumber, cherry tomatoes and coleslaw.Grilled chicken thigh with mashed swede, roasted peppers and mushrooms. HM chocolate mousse.
Snack: 20g of dark chocolate
Exercise: 4.5 mile run. 3 miles of walking.

oh. my. LEGS!!!! That evil personal trainer man told me sore muscles is a good thing, but I'm so stiff! I sympathise with you Welshwoofer, it did ease off with a bit of walking, but my job is sedentary, so every half hour or so, I'd get up and they'd be back to the beginning. But I was so proud of myself yest when I realised I could kick my own bum again, so it was worth it.
Long day today:
B: toast with spreadm 1/6 of melon
L: Ham salad roll (wholemeal) with an apple and a bananaHM stew and 1 slice of bread
S: Well it was going so well but then... :EasterBun I bought a chocolate cereal bar, and had a cookie. I sit next to the office 'biscuit club'. I try not to associate with them, but the constant stream of people going for biscuits made me cave!0 -
