Hi everyone! Is it ok for new people to join in with this or is it only for people that have been in since the start?

(((Aldahbra))) hope everything is okay now, take it easy and you'll heal quicker :)

Hi 6Penguins and welcome :), you can join in whenever you like. There's 8 weeks to go on this challenge so best to read posts 1 and 2, then just type your goal in red and our lovely ragz will add you to the list

I'm exhausted - shouted, yelled, cheered, pushed Team GB from my sitting room, I feel like their coach :D. Did get a bit concerned that the neighbours would be knocking on the wall at one stage though!

    B - Nectarine
D - last of the grotty Chinese, sharing with Muttley - how generous am I? Apple
T - F&F. Mashed nana in ff yogurt
    S - Orange, melon
E - moving all the furniture out of the lounge ready for the decorator tomorrow, feels like a work-out in itself. Washing down all the paintwork. Does cheering count, cos I think there'll be a lot of that going on again today :D

    Have a Golden Day :)

    Hello everyone.

I did a WI this morning because I have been in hospital for a week. Despite being nil by mouth for 3 days and having surgery to remove unwanted bits I have put on 1 lb :(

I'm now on a low fat diet and can only walk for exercise at the moment. DH has to do all the hoovering

General Anaesthetic makes you retain water so it will not be a true reflection. Hope you feel better soon x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

    Thanks Sparrer!

Ok so I've read the first 2 posts and it looks as though I'm in the right place. I love cooking (and food hence the weight loss need!)

8 weeks to go... please can I be added for 8lbs

Hopefully having this to write on each day will keep me on track!

Just back from the "walk" which was more like mountaineering! So hard that quite a few people dropped out! 4.5 hours of steep hills, walking down streams and general hard work with only a 20 min break to scoff some sandwiches. Have never sweated as much - even when running!
Some people were complaining that it wasn't the walk advertised - no mention of such hard climbs. I will definitely feel it tomorrow,in fact my legs have already seized up and I still have to walk the dog again.:o
The good news is that myfitnesspal calculates the cals burnt as 1350! Thats more than a days food for me! May well treat myself tonight now.

Aldahbra Don't fret too much, I'm sure your gain is because of the surgery, I wouldn't be surprised if you were retaining fluid around the affected areas. Hope you get better soon!

    My day:
B: 2 slices of toast with spread
    L: a toasted ham wrap
D: Pasta with pesto and veg
S: I'll have a small bowl of stew later (forgot I already had pasta and started cooking this)
E: 1hr personal training session  and intermittent brisk walking to/from the bus (approx 5-10mins x 4) without a car for a few days, and it's raining hard!

    Evening All,

I've had DGD for the day today and had a lovely day with her. We were both in the paddling pool in our swimsuits, and it made me realise how I am much happier having lost all this weight. I don't think I would have been prancing about in public at my heaviest. We've also baked butterfly buns, painted and playdoh'd plus done lots of jigsaws, played games and read stories.

    B: None as up late
L: 2 low carb crispbreads with garlic cream cheese and cherry tomatoes.
D: Pork loin chop with cauliflower cheese, green beans and roast pepper. HM chocolate mousse.
    Snack: Tsp of peanut butter.

Exercise: None so far but may have a walk later if friend is available.

    Rose

ETA: 3 mile walk just completed.
