Thanks for the birthday wishes.
Well, after a week away and forgetting all my resolutions, I have put my 1lb back on.So I will have to be honest with myself, and everyone else, and declare a gain of 1lb.
Oh well, onward and upward as they say. I'm finding it very hard to fit in any sort of exercise at all at the moment. My DH isn't keen on me walking around on my own where we live, and I'm not keen on him coming out with me as he walks too fast for me and I can't pace myself properly. What a pair!
I have a set of girlie weights, so I'm going to do some bingo wings exercises on a night before I go to bed and see if that helps2025 Fashion on the ration

8 weeks to go!
Hope I've got that right. Been out all day with the children, just got the chance to catch up.
I had only gained a pound when I weighed today so that's okay, though I have eaten appallingly today so must try harder from now on or I will gain again next week...June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

Back in the land of the cyber-living with a cheapy mouse so I can finish my post now
B - spicy fruity porridge, sk milk
L - Duck, hoi sin and salad wrap. Blueberries with ice cream
D - Chinese take-away. I've waited two years for a take-away and when I got it I could only eat a tiny bit because it really wasn't great. The anticipation was more pleasurable than the actual meal!
S - tangerine, nectarine, grapes, nana, menon
E - Gardening only, I always seem so sleepy on a Friday when I don't start the day at the gym.
Bought some leeks, will experiment with the lasagne over the weekend. I have some rf cheese and sk milk for the sauce and plan to use veg and pulses in place of meat.
Well done losers and STS's, well done gainers for admitting it and sticking with it regardless :T
Have an Olympian evening0 -
I lost 1lb this week but since I put one on last week am only back where I started so not reporting a loss at all thanks Ragz, no smily face for meLife is not the way it’s supposed to be. It’s the way it is. The way you cope with it is what makes the difference.0

Hmm, I realised I weighed in wrong yest - it should have been a 3lb loss, but I got confused and forgot my starting weight was at 12st4, not 12st3... BUT I definitely should have just weighed in today, as it turns out I've gone back down to 12st on the nose, making it a 5lb loss this week! :j
I have done nothing special, so I think it proves that the heat caused a good amount of fluid retention, and now it's cold and miserable again, I'm back to normal. So this bad weather is good for something!
In other news, we just had a new girl move in with us today - she's from one of those terminally thin countries, and she is skinny as a rake- I'm going to spy on her to pick up some tips (in a non-stalker way) :rotfl:
No food diary today, It's been a standard day, but I did have a glass of wine *1/3 of a bottle* to calm my nerves after a stressful week.0 -
Unfortunately didn't manage to WI and am having a really bad week as extra work and travelling has meant a drop in exercise and poor eating habits have returned; will attempt to WI tomorrow and start afresh next week (planning to do 30 day shred for this month too). Congratulations to everyone who had a loss :j and better luck next week for those who're struggling0

Morning all!
Its the weekend (doesn't really make a difference to me as I'm on hols but its good for those that aren't!).
Its the dreaded Couch to 5K week 5 first run today - had a look at it and its 3 different runs this week starting with 3x 5 mins runs today building up to a solid 20 min on day 3:eek:.
Think I should manage today's but am a bit apprehensive about the following runs. Will do my best though.
In addition to the run I plan to walk the dog for an hour round trip to the village shops to pick up a few bits and pieces and do the belly busting and bingo wings exercises.
Food wise today I think its going to be a cereal bar for breakfast, a wholewheat seeded bagel and fruit for lunch and a homemade potato curry for tea with a pitta bread as a pretend naan bread. Will report in later with an update.
Have a skinny day everyone!0 -

OMG!!!! OMG!!!! OMG!!!!
Just been for the Couch to 5K run using the week 5 podcast that has the 3 different runs on one backing track, saying if you're one day 1 run now, day 2 run now etc and you'll never guess what......
I did the day 3 run of 20 mins without stopping!!!:j:j:j
Felt ok after 5 mins so thought I run on to the end of the day 2 first bit at 8 mins, got there still felt ok so carried on and did the whole 20 mins. I am so chuffed with myself you'd never believe! No walking at all and I actually looked like I was running not trotting.
Just had to tell someone ..... sorry for being so excited!:rotfl:0
