Been swimming and thankfully the lanes were out and there were a couple of very nice looking male swimmers to stalk, making me go faster:rotfl:
So I'm officially at the half way point of the summer hols swim challenge - 300/600 lengths done.
I'm feeling stronger every time and I think the swimming is helping with the running - controlled breathing and stamina and all that!
I've decided to go to an organic/veggie/vegan independent supermarket later for a nosey around - see if I can pick up anything nice for tea. Its near a nature reserve so will take the dog for a walk there instead of the planned walk to kill 2 birds with 1 stone.0 -

Confession time - seem to be a few of those lately - to eating a 1/4 tub of Pringles (the tub I was going to take for DGD2 and forgot) in bed last night. Took the lappy up as I wanted an early night and for some reason got the nibbles. I feel like I reached target and have given in - don't know why but I have to get my head round this and back on track. Tonight I'll take Paul McK to bed with me, it worked last time so maybe he can give me the proverbial kick up the arris again

Back to the Olympics for an hour, have a good afternoon0 -

Ooooh Sparrer - you can do better than him:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Well, I went a little bit bonkers in the vegan/veggie shop but I did put some things back. I bought (and this may sound horrible to some of you meat eaters but yummy to me!) .... an organic and free range pepper tortilla, some greek gigantes bean thingy to have with couscous (tonight's tea now), organic falafel, dried chickpeas, sunflower seeds to snack on, chick pea noodles snacks (a bit like bombay mix) and a scrummy raspberry licorice stick (only 95 cals and scoffed whilst walking the dog). :T
They had loads of F&V there but I try to buy mine from the greengrocers in the village to support the small business - not sure about the pricing either, the local shop puts a label on boxes of things like 79p or says 4 for a £1 etc but this was all in kilos - even for a science teacher it was difficult to tell whether they were a good price or not:rotfl:
45 min walk around the nature reserve too so now feel justified in "testing" some of my purchases!
And no organic chocolate eclairs available - probably a good thing;)0 -
I'm going to a legendary burger restaurant tonight called Meat Liquor...eek before weigh in day....hoping I stick to my plan and only eat half then give the rest to guy mates (good intentions!)0
-
Whilst we're speaking of confessions and good intentions .....:o
I have today had some of the colonels fried chicken and I've had a magnum infinity choc and caramel (on special offer less than half price at £1.50 a box)
...And I've just had a leaflet through the door from my local Indian takeaway thanking me for being a valued customerand offering me 20% off my next order to celebrate their 6 month anniversary (change of ownership).... oh I have no willpower.... I must resist, I must resist

I have done THE SHRED Wahoo but my legs acheO/S weight loss 2.5 /10lbs (11st 8.0- 08.02)0 -
Right, I'm going to weigh in today, as I always miss Ragz on a Fri- 2lb loss takes me back to 1/14 :j
I'm supposed to be cutting out sugar, but twice today I found myself absent mindedly picking up sugary things; a digestive at a training session today, and a freebie cereal bar I picked up at the gym (which I wouldn't have eaten if it wasn't free!). I need to stop and think for a second before I eat, but it's scary how you barely register it. Realised half way through both times and it was too late.
B: two slices of toast with spread, some yoghurt (nearly finished the pot now!) and 1/6 of melon
L: cream cheese and ham salad wrap, an applepasta bolognese (HM with extra lean mince), but I've left most of it because I don't feel much like eating tonight (very rare)
S: 1 digestive biscuit, 1 cereal bar (shocked to read it was 191 calories for a cereal bar!)
E: 1 hr at the gym until my legs dropped off, 1/2 cardio (enough to burn the cereal bar), 1/2 toning.0 -
