Managed a 25 minute brisk walk after all. After a few rumbles of thunder earlier the black sky cleared, and the sun came out.
I decided to go for a walk and went along the sea shore. The sky was clear blue and the sea was such a brilliant blue it could have been the Med (or is that just wishful thinking ;) ). You wouldnt believe it was the same day considering the rain and stormy weather earlier.

Have had a bonkers day involving work, visiting pupils at work experience and then coming home to find a tiny escaped baby pet rabbit frozen in fear in the middle of the road. To cut a long story short, nobody in the area knows where its come from (must have knocked a million doors), the RSPCA or animal sanctuary wouldn't take it today (can't keep it due to dog), took it to the vets to see if it was ok and microchipped (no microchip) and eventually finding Pets at Home would take it under their adoption scheme. They'll keep it for 2 weeks to see if anyone claims him and then rehome. Thank God for Pets at Home - I was getting desperate. They were lovely when I took Robbie in (he now has a name!) and I was quite sorry to see him go:o

What a lovely story and very kindhearted of you! :):) It made me happy to read this.

This week has been a write-off for me, this is definitely the worst I've done since I started the challenge. Its not so much overeating, just total laziness towards exercise since my holiday. I don't feel defeated though, I just feel like I'm plateauing a bit. Will try harder.

    B: Blueberries and an apple
L: Leftover ratatouille, chili rice crackers and Walkers Sunbites, 4 squares of dark chocolate
D: Liver stir fry with noodles
S: Carrots and houmous, 2 slices salami
    :)

My day wasn't too bad today considering there was quite a bit of temptation. I have my monthly too and OH just left today for a week on a business trip :( work is extremely busy and stressful and I'm TIRED. Also, I had to bake chocolatey treats this evening as a colleague is having a tea party tomorrow and her little boy is allergic to the same things that I am...she asked me to bake as he has never eaten cake before because she doesn't know how to bake without eggs and dairy! So I have made chocolate cupcakes and brownies ....but not eaten any of it!!

Breakfast - cereal with raspberries and soya yogurt
    Snack - tiny banana
Lunch - home made rice salad (not very much rice, lots of veg, some kidney beans)
Dinner - pasta with a sausage (low fat sausages) and veg sauce, except I made quite a big portion (I'm useless at cooking for one!) and then ate barely a third of it - very proud of that!
Snack - A taste of brownie, a lick of the icing spoon lol

I am a bit peckish now though after not eating very much of my dinner (I seemed to lose my appetite - probably as I'd been in the kitchen surrounded by food for ages. I always think if I was a chef I'd be as skinny as anything because the longer I spend cooking, the less I feel like eating!) so I am going to have a little bit of fruit and try to avoid all the chocolatey treats!

Does anyone have any tips on how to motivate yourself to exercise when you are SO TIRED after work every day? :( I know what you'll say...there are no special secrets...you just have to DO IT!!! But so far I have been completely failing. In the evenings after work I'm so tired I get to the dizzy stage of fatigue. It's as much as I can do to do a few hours of work when I get in from work (something sounds wrong in that sentence! Oh the life of a teacher!) and do some housework and cooking. I can't contemplate how I'd find the energy to exercise as well..

Thanks for the lovely messages guys, that has cheered me up! I sympathise with you sparrer, many years ago I used to dread writing the name, but it's easier now I've done it. I can't have a picture of one anywhere near me though...

Well today was much better than yesterday, though it wasn't hard to be! Typical day except I bought a scratch card on my way home, match 3 symbols on any line and you win a prize, and there were 6 lines in total. I won something on every line! Added up to £20 in the end.

B: Toast, slice of melon (so depressed this morning!) 1/2 a lemons juice
L: Bagel with cream cheese, pear, plum, nectarine, cereal bar (cheered up after the fruit)
D: Low fat sausage sandwich with large pile of roasted veggies followed by a baked apple stuffed with plums and lemon juice.
S: 1 choccy biscuit, some viennese wafers, small handful of peanuts

Still on holibobs but following you all. I have eaten so much that I will be scared to climb on to the scales. Today it was Roskilly's ice cream (and yesterday). Im back on Saturday so will join the new challenge and some I reckon, as there will be pounds to lose before Im back to my original weight. Good luck for the final weigh-in and well done Sparrer x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

    Hi everyone,

I'd like to join this thread too if that's okay? I'm not strictly wanting to lose weight as I already have a BMI of under 21 so am at a healthy weight - but I'm aware that I'm not eating as well as I should be, aren't taking proper care of myself and reeeeally need to tone up, so I think going 'old style' and introducing some properly cooked meal plans and good old fashioned exercise might be the way forward. Myself and husband are wanting to start TTC next year, and I have a really physically demanding job, so I'd like to get myself fighting fit.

My problem is that I lack discipline - I'm like the undereaters on that awful channel 4 show... I can forget to eat whole meals at a time, survive on diet coke and then binge on completely inappropriate foods. It doesn't show in my figure at the moment, but I'm sure it's not doing me any good on the inside and I have no desire to subject that sort of nutritional intake on a little one.

    Hi amyloofoo

Im new to this thread too and am enjoying following everyones posts. I'm hoping this will give me the kick up the butt I need to eat healthly and exercise as I am a naturally lazy moo :D I find that if I post my plan for the day on here I am more likely to stick to it. Well done on planning ahead to get healthy before you TTC.

    Plans for today:

Exercise - Well the sun is out here in the south this morning, but we are meant to have heavy rain by lunchtime. Its a non work day for me today so the washing machine is on in the race to get some dried on the line this morning, and I'm going for a walk in a minute whilst its dry, hoping to do about an hour.

Breakfast - beans on toast (no butter/spread)
    Snack - Banana
Lunch - Home made veg soup, crackers (no butter/spread) with lf cheese spread with salad
    Snack - Melon
Dinner - Chicken & veg stir fry with chilli and garlic noodles

Have a good day everyone x

ETA - Sparrer re discussion of bacon buttie, this for me is 1 slice all fat removed and grilled, on wholemeal seeded small bap. Even before weight loss I couldnt bear butter/spread on a bacon sarni .... I dont know if thats just me !!! Now real butter on a chip buttie !!! now thats my idea of heaven nom nom
