OMG I forgot to WI this morning!! I know I've had a bad with DH in charge of catering. I loved it!!!! But I need to find out the damage before I can start rectifying it.in the 70's and of course before then most sahm's had a baking day - mine was a Tuesday. The cake and biscuit tins would be filled, pies would be made as was the daily batch of bread. Money was at a premium so the children got a couple of biscuits or a slice of cake with their drink (usually Nesquick in Summer, Bournvita when it was cold) after school. They were allowed a sweetie from the tin after dinner, and on Sundays they could have fizzy pop. There were no multi-packs of crisps so a bag would last two or three days. We were all quite fit and healthy as most people grew fruit and veg.
That's pretty much how I remember it as a child. Only we had Crusha milkshake but only as a treat, not everyday. We drank tea, coffee, water, hm lemonade or weak squashes. But I do remember "older women" being a sort of square shape which doesn't seem to happen now."Never ascribe to malice that which is adequately explained by incompetence."Weight loss challenge:j: week 1~ Napoleon Bonaparte

Well done Sparrer!
I am sulking, have put on a pound. I am now 11 stone 12 pounds, I am sure I was 11 stone 5 a few months ago, that means I have put on half a stone with the odd pound here. And that's with watching what I eat, imagine what I would weigh if I wasn't!
Of course I stuffed myself with junk this morning to make up for it. Oh there really is no hope for me!June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

Afternoon All,
It's very wet again here today and there are lots of flood warnings for the local area. I did manage to get out for a run though inbetween showers.
B: Milky coffee
L: Grilled avocado with cheese, HM red onion marmalade, cherry tomatoes.
Snack: Large iced coffeeNot decided yet
Exercise: 5 mile run/walk (3 min:1 min). 1 mile walk.
I have STS this week but have lost a few cm when I measured this morning. Well done Sparrer on achieving your target - that is what I am aiming for too - I think we are about the same height too. Well done all other losers too. I hope I can get down to 9st for next Friday.

That looks lovely. What exactly did you do to the avocado?"Never ascribe to malice that which is adequately explained by incompetence."Weight loss challenge:j: week 1~ Napoleon Bonaparte

All I did was slice the avocado in 2 and remove the stone and then squirted a bit of lime juice in the cavity and over the flesh, topped it with grated cheese and popped it under the grill for 10 minutes. I've never done it before but had an avocado going soft and didn't fancy a salad in this weather. I would definitely do it again but might season the flesh with salt and pepper before adding the cheese next time. It went really well with the red onion marmalade, which I made earlier this week.Weight Loss Challenge 5/7/19 10st 6lbs
