    Evening all :)

Aldahbra in the 70's and of course before then most sahm's had a baking day - mine was a Tuesday. The cake and biscuit tins would be filled, pies would be made as was the daily batch of bread. Money was at a premium so the children got a couple of biscuits or a slice of cake with their drink (usually Nesquick in Summer, Bournvita when it was cold) after school. They were allowed a sweetie from the tin after dinner, and on Sundays they could have fizzy pop. There were no multi-packs of crisps so a bag would last two or three days. We were all quite fit and healthy as most people grew fruit and veg. It's good to know we're getting back to that sort of gardening, albeit forced into it by bouncing from one recession to the next.

    B - spicy, fruity porridge
    D - chicken & veg curry
T - boiled egg with WW Danish soldiers
    S - nectarine, melon, grapes,
    E - no gym today so 30 mins step/weights/stretch

    Have a good evening :)

Wow I like the sound of these 'good old days' ;) I was born very late in the 70's so only really remember things pretty much as they are although in the last 10 yrs or so general eating is out of control and going too much towards the USA!! Multi packs this, take away that McD's the other

Well exam done and dusted so onwards and downwards on the scales :D (hopefully :rotfl:)

I'm liking the sound of these good old days too! The problem is that many of these post 70s junk foods actually have chemicals in them designed to make you become addicted to them. Take many coke drinks, they have addictive levels of caffeine in them, more than your average cup of espresso...

I won't get a chance to weigh in tomorrow, so I'll give it today instead- I haven't lost anything this week (Ragz I think you're still showing my 2lb gain, so technically I've lost 2 lbs, to be back to the starting blocks).

    Food today:
B: Small museli with yoghurt, 1.5 slices of bread, 1 kiwi
L: Chicken and cream cheese sandwich, 3 go ahead fruit slices, 2 apples, 1 satsuma
D: Soup and 2 slices of bread, chilli con carne with rice

No snacks, and exercise was 20 mins (5.5km) on the bike and a zumba class.

I have eaten a lot of food today. I'm away this weekend and have been running the cupboards down. I planned all my meals this week, but forgot to plan them around what I actually had on this week (i.e. I based it on 5 days in the office and 5 evenings at home in front of the TV), forgetting I'd be out on site 2 days, volunteering Tue, home late Wed, and away Friday. Teach me a lesson for next time at least.

I deviated from my projected meal plan a bit, we had what I said, and then had some frozen roast potatoes later on as we were hungry lol. I still came in under my calories though, it was only when I snacked on half a plum and a peach that I went over by about 15 calories!

So I made up for it by doing 20 minutes on Wii Sports Tennis, killing my back again but I am now over 100 calories under todays allowance from what I just burned off according to my fitness pal app.

    :-D

I've decided to try and do at least ten minutes a day on the Wii Tennis, even if my back is hurting.

    No pain, no gain!

Weigh day tomorrow. I can't wait. I want to see if I have hit this weeks goal of 3lbs loss!

Dinner: pasta w/ pesto, pancetta bits and pepper, 1oz cheese. Fruit ice lolly
    Evening snack: 20g chocolate

    Today:
    Breakfast: 2 clementines, granola bar
Lunch: something from the canteen, plus 2 clementines
    Snack: rocky bar
Dinner: HM pizzas w/ hm roasted tomato sauce. Topped with half ball mozzarella each, plus roasted pepper, chicken and a chopped pepperami.

Need to go to the shops for fruit, veg and lunches for next week. We were supposed to be going camping this weekend so I cancelled our veg box delivery, but we’re rearranging due to the weather!

feeling okay about this. I haven't done enough exercise this week to deserve a loss though my food has been okay.
I'm home alone this weekend so have swimming, spinning and healthy eating planned. No OH to sway me and tempt me with cream buns!
