Well done on the Shredding! I do have the DVD but never progressed further than level one. I really do think it works though so I might dig it out tomorrow whilst Himself is out watching the footie. We could try and progress through it together - any takers?
Plus I love Jillian Michaels - think she's fab!
Well I've had quite a huh? moment but very MSE at the same time. Himself is taking me out on Saturday night to my fave restaurant - Burpday treat! - so I thought about getting a nice dress from DPs or somewhere. But instead I raided my wardrobe and found a dress I actually made myself about 18 months ago. I am nearly 2 stone heavier now but yet it still fits me perfectly! Makes me wonder where the hell I'm packing this extra blubber! I know I'm tubbier around my hips and tum but surely it's not all in there! Anyhoo, at least I have nice dress to wear and I've saved myself £30-40. Yay!0 -
I wasn't going to post today as its been a bad day but seeing other people's honest posts about what they've had has encouraged me to write it down and admit it to myself.:o
My period arrived today and I'm afraid the hormones were no match for Mr McKenna! General meals were ok but I've eaten a ton of cr*p too ....
Breakfast - cereal bar
Mid morning - 2 rows of Lindt chocolate bar bought for me by a friend for looking after his dog
Lunch - LO bean chilli (its finally gone!), satsuma, strawberries
Snack - packet of crisps, bit more choc
Tea - massive bowl of strawberries and raspberries (its what my hormones fancied), bag of crisps, teeny bit more choc found in the cupboard
Now i feel a bit sick, fed up with myself and like I've undone my good work:mad:
The Lindt bar is in work so I'm going to give the rest of it away tomorrow even if it kills me.
I'll also take lunch with me even though I get free lunch on Thursdays.
The only exercise I've done today is walk the dog for about an hour total. No shredding:(fattybumble85 wrote: »Well done on the Shredding! I'm up for that!
I've done 5 consecutive days of Level 1 up to today. This will resume tomorrow - promise! I'll give myself 4 more days on Level 1 and then try Level 2.
Tomorrow will be a better day (fingers crossed). Paul McKenna will have his work cut out tonight!0 -
Still not feeling too great today, I had toast for breakfast, bread for lunch with some rice cakes, and felt up to digging a mini pizza out of the deepest recesses of my freezer for dinner. Hardly healthy...
I looked up the 30 day shred on YouTube- it looked tough, and effective, but I don't have the floor space for the floor work. Good on you guys for trying it though!
P.S. If you guys like Paul McKenna, try Susan Hepburn, I really enjoyed her approach, and still dig it out if I have trouble sleeping.0 -
:jHi everyone,
made me feel better to read that others are struggling at the moment with keeping on track. I'm convinced this horrible cold rainy weather isnt helping as im comfort eating infront of the tv because its too cold and horrible to be outside! We need some lovely sunny weather so we feel like exercising more and eating salads again. I'm also craving chocolate at the moment. I've got 5lbs to lose to reach my goal weight and I just cant seem to get there at all. Keep up the fight friends, im sure if we keep encouraging each other we will get there in the end!

I'm glad people are brave enough to be honest about being less than perfect and having slip ups when it comes to losing weight.
That's the beauty of this thread, its a 'confessional' thread as well as a motivation - we can be honest, knowing we won't be judged, and in turn this means we're less likely to be in denial ourselves about what we're eating, and more accountable for our mistakes. Then we can pick ourselves up and keep on trying.
Today was ok for me, I felt horribly sick this morning, so had a nice soothing lentil soup for lunch. I bought some ginger nuts as well (they're so good for nausea) but obviously I couldn't stop at 1 or 2! I think I had around 5 (trust me I could eat the whole pack easily, but I was at work so I had some self-awareness!) Ah well.
I finish with a nice cheesy motivational quote of the day::):)
"The only place where 'success' comes before 'work' is in the dictionary"0 -

I actually thought you were going to say something about cheese when I first read that! Talk about food-obsessed!Tis a good quote, tho, and very true!
I've had a better day today - no massive amounts of chocolate!
B - porridge, blueberries & yogurt; L - wholemeal pasta, feta, olives, tomato & rocket salad, banana; S - 2 dark choc digestives, 3 rice cakes; T - jacket potato, beans & cheese, cherries. No exercise today, but going to the gym tomorrow after work.
It's really nice that people are able to be honest on here about slip ups and pig outs! We're all going to have them, so no point denying them really!
Have a good day tomorrow everyone! CBx0 -
Happy Thursday morning, Everyone,
Awake at 4am this morning! Made myself stay in bed and try to relax/rest, but I'm up for work now and feeling pretty shattered. I'm an 8 hr sleep girl, so 5 hours just doesn't cut it for me. Needlesstostate, it's work related thoughts that woke me today
Onwards and upwards, though...well, downwards first...:rotfl:. My confession from yesterday is that the work buffet lunch was too much for me to resist, and I did eat too much bread/cheese/cheese biscuits. I also ate lots of fruit too :A
Loved the "cheesy" quote, anything food related gets my vote :T
So, today, then, what's the plan? Well, glad you asked really, here it is :rotfl:
Brekkie - hm muesli
Lunch - Another working lunch, but as I'm sorting this one, I've ordered individual rolls for each of us instead of a buffet - mine is a prawn & chilli mayo roll. But at least I can only eat one! I've also ordered fruit.
Dinner - portion of hm beef curry and brown rice
Just seen the forecast for the weekend,...I think my plans for a BBQ on Sunday for Father's Day will be rained off...have to think what else to do for the Old Man
Enjoy your day
