Welcome to all the new posters, I will add those of you who requested it to the list later. Minicooper, I don't do 1/2lbs on the list so would you rather 3 or 4lbs? (Sorry, but it's complicated enough without trying to do half smilies etc!)

I must admit, my diet the last few days has consisted of more biscuits and Aldi chocolate mousse (DO NOT ever try them, they are just too good, unless of course you have iron will power in which case they are a divine dessert for not too many calories) thank fruit and veg. I am PM but that's a poor excuse, I seem to be in some weird self defeating eating contest with myself. I ate half a pack of biscuits in one sitting earlier, just because I told myself not to...

If I manage to end the challenge the same weight I started it will be a miracle, I wouldn't be surprised if I've crept back up to 12 stone by now!

I cannot seem to talk myself into exercise, this time last year I couldn't get enough of running and swimming...

Ragz, make it 3 please! Also try this: instead of saying 'you CAN'T have this', look at it and ask 'what's more important to me today, this [chocolate bar/biscuit/cake] or losing weight?' It works 99% of the times, but sometimes you just really want a biscuit, in which case I think there's nothing wrong with it as long as I've weighed the options (no pun intended!)

Today I'm off food. Became very ill after breakfast (muesli, yog and a kiwi), had a small lunch to settle my stomach (salad wrap) - it didn't work... But I may feel well enough for a slice of toast for dinner. I won't be going to exercise class tonight though.

    Hello all!
Not too bad a day yet.....
I listened to the Paul McKenna Think Yourself Thin thing last night in bed and if nothing else it relaxed me and made me sleep better. I have had a controlled day with food so far and am not starving as I usually am by the time I get home - coincidence? Maybe but it can't hurt.
I also managed the Shred yesterday and will do it again tonight - I won't weigh until Saturday as that was my first weigh in so hopefully there'll be a small change.

    Food today...
    Breakfast - cereal bar
    Snack - banana
Lunch - LO bean chilli and a satsuma
Tea - wholewheat spaghetti and tomato sauce with a teeny bit of cheese grated on the top

    Evening All

RAGZ, I too am struggling and keep eating at the moment so you are not alone.

I didn't get chance to post yesterday as we were quite busy and then went to see Chicago in the evening, with a meal of steak, scampi and chips on the way! I was supposed to be being 'good' today but ended up eating several treats to use them up.

    B: Raspberries with Greek yoghurt
L: Spinach, sweetcorn and cheese omelette.
D: Stir fry with noodles, garlic, onions, prawns and mushrooms with left overs of sweetcorn and swede also stirred in. White chocolate (left from trip to theatre yesterday).
Snacks: Large HM scone and butter

Exercise: 6.5 mile walk. 28 lengths of swimming pool - I would have done more but ran out of time as the session finished 35 minutes after I got in.

Welshwoofer, I have used Paul Mckenna a lot and really like the positive self image it gives you. It stopped working for me when I didn't have time to listen to it every day - hopefully in the summer I'll be able to go back to it. But its certainly a very holistic way of losing weight.
Busy day today so no time for a walk - and none tomorrow either as I have a trip to the vets in the afternoon.
B, fruit n fibre, L, LO chicken pasta with cucumber, red cabbage and salad leaves + apple, D, beans on toast with 2 slices of bread. Snacks (so far!) packet of crisps, small piece of fruit loaf.

    .

Yes, it's soul destroying isn't it? That's what I was like at the end of May and last week. The good news, though, is that I'm sure you'll tire of it, and go back to eating fairly healthily. I gave myself permission to pig out and now no longer want to, though I am not eating well enough to lose weight yet. I also daren't weigh myself to see the damage ...I hope to be back on track properly for the next challenge...There will be a next challenge, won't there? :rotfl:

Help! I'm having a crisis! I just can't seem to stop eating sweet stuff. Yesterday we went to the gym, I was good (ish) all day but then had half a large bar of Galaxy as a treat. Today I bought crisps & dairy milk (bar and a half size) on the way home. The really irritating thing is when I've eaten them, I think "I didn't really enjoy that - wish I hadn't had it". Grrrrrrr!!!:mad::mad:

I really want to get my head in the right place to say no - most of the time!

Yesterday I had: B - porridge, blueberries & yogurt; L - HM bread toasted with butter & peanut butter (not too much!), banana; T - lamb burger, baked potato, carrots & cabbage; S - 4 (:o) digestives, 1 Kit kat (2 finger) PLUS half bar Galaxy (so approx 55g). Exercise - 1 hour gym, cardio & weights.

Today I've had: B - porridge, blueberries & yogurt; L - HM bread sandwich with cheese (small amount) & grapes; S - 2 coffees & chocolate twist pastry :o; T - small piece pizza, falafel wrap, CRISPS & CHOCOLATE. What is wrong with me??? I just can't seem to say no at the moment! (To chocolate, that is .....:rotfl:) Exercise - walking up & down hills at lunchtime for 20 mins or so.

I really have to get myself together. I'm off to make a pasta salad for tomorrow's lunch. That will be wholemeal pasta, small amount of cubed feta, baby tomatoes, black olives, rocket and a dash of olive oil. No chocolate in sight.

I will have a better day tomorrow ..... CBx :)
  • Managed 10,000 steps today and 40 lengths of the pool (1 kilometre)

Tired now though! Managed not to have a man-sized portion of dinner as well. I have been in the bad habit of having same sized portions as my boyfriend...
