Believe me Savesummore you don't want to hear me singing in the evenings - or at any time for that matter!:)
I too have enjoyed a gardening day. Didn't get nearly as much done as I wanted but I'm sure it counts as exercise and after a hefty bit of weeding I can see one or two places that look much better. Also helped DS and DD plant up their own bits of gardens. DD was very thoughtful, listened to what I said and carefully marked out shapes to plant her seeds into etc etc. DS chucked them all into the ground all together (nastursiums, wildflowers, peas and spring onions), sloshed the water over and then ran off to play football. It will be interesting when the seeds come up!
Eating wise: B was weetabix and banana, L mackerel pate and toast, a left over cheese scone from yesterday, salad and melon, D roast chicken and veg and rhubarb crumble icecream -which I had to have cos it was homemade!
Back to work tomorrow, although less hours now so hopefully I'll be more chilled so less likely to eat, plus I'll have more time for the garden.

Evening fellow fat fighters!
Well done to everyone this week, whether you've lost, STS or gained. We're all trying and that's the main thing!
My rash and swelling have near enough gone now ( just in time for my return to work - yah boooo!) but still as itchy as hell. I'm hoping that I won't have too many scars from itching.
Tomorrow will be the first time back at the gym for a while too but I'm looking forward to it.
Anyhow, good luck for the coming week - lets hope the numbers are kind to us on Friday!0 -
Morning All,
I'm Back! :j Not been anywhere, but I'm back... :rotfl:I've overspent, overeaten, over drunk, and generally thoroughly enjoyed my break. I can feel that I've increased my size in the last few weeks - clothes are feeling tighter again, so I need to get back to healthy eating...Didn't win the lottery though so I'm back at the dreaded desk today.
Although I've left the challenge for now anyway, I'm back wanting to get myself sorted, with a little more enthusiasm then I've displayed for a few weeks :T. So, today's plan is -
Brekkie - hm muesli
Lunch - hm celery soup (I hate celery so have tried to disguise this with smoked salmon, sweetcorn and ss milk to make it like a chowder....not convinced...so not looking forward to lunch...:()
Dinner - LO roast chicken dinner - lots of veges
 to all the newbies (I recognise a few names there from the grocery challenge that I've also bust on this month!) Good Luck!!
Well done on your run yesterday, Rosewood, excellent. My face is red at the thought of it, let alone the running!
NTBT - my alfafa seeds are sprouting like mad, can I ask another daft question?? Do I eat the seed husk, too, or do I have to fiddle around cutting the sprouty bit from the husk. I didn't expect the seeds to be so tiny
Have a good Monday...it's nearly Friday....:rotfl:

Morning All,
LavenderBees  nice to see you back – it sounds as though your holiday has done you some good, I’m a great believer in indulging oneself – in moderation of course.
Re your sprouting seeds – when mine are ready to harvest I put them into a large bowl/basin of cold water and stir them around a bit, this usually causes most of the husks to fall off and sink to the bottom, scoop the sprouts out and let them drain in a sieve to get rid of most of the excess water then put them in a plastic/Tupperware container and they will keep in the fridge for 2-3 days.
Yesterday turned out to quite energetic, after a brisk walk round the neighbourhood I took advantage of the dry weather – forecast not looking good for the next week or so - got the grass cut and the back garden tidied up.
Meals were extra healthy just because I couldn’t be bothered doing much cooking
B – Yoghurt & fruit
L – Scrambled Eggs on toast
D – Cold Ham, shredded cabbage, apple, carrot, onion, courgette and home grown radish & sorrel.
T = 2 x glasses wine :shhh:
Now after a very lazy morning I best get going and do something constructive.Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61

Welcome WelshWoofer;
I got this one from the library here, it's an Aussie book but I am sure you could find something more UK centric as foods and brands differ quite a lot.
I found this site has a lot of good 'no-nonsense' info that covers the basics, although I later found it is essentially the opening pages of another book:

Thanks that has given me some light bed time reading;)"Never ascribe to malice that which is adequately explained by incompetence."Weight loss challenge:j: week 1~ Napoleon Bonaparte

Evening all!
I'm back to work today too but it wasn't too bad.
Not been too bad foodwise...
Breakfast - cereal bar
Snack - banana
Lunch - LO bean chilli (small tupperware box portion), 2 choc digestives:(:(
Tea - lemon sole (fish, yuk! but trying to eat some, not sure about it all though as I've been veggie for over 20 years, ,will probably not bother again), 5 small new potatoes and peas
Exercise - have walked dog twice and just about to do another 20 mins and will force myself to do the Shred.
I have already made lunch for tomorrow to try to keep me on the straight and narrow and will write a small list of F&V needed.0 -
Not been too bad today
I have had:
b - yogurt with raspberries and strawberries
l - LF tuna mayo salad, 1 small pear, 2 satsumas, blueberry yogurt bar
s - chocolate freddo
t - 2 small chicken fajitas, LF rice pudding with 1 tbsp lemon curd, 2 rich tea biscuits
Could have done with not eating the biscuitsor the chocolate really... but not too bad as the first day.
