****PLUS 1lb**** I can't get the colour to work, sorry. My DS has been back for a week which has meant eating proper dinners and consuming the odd bottle of red. As a result my weight has varied from 2lb loss to 6lb gain, although it's just the extra pound today. I have a week and a day to get myself back on track before I go up to Norway for a week. It' so easy to go off course when something unexpected occurs, but I hope to be quite strict with myself next week and lose a good few pounds.Solar Suntellite 250 x16 4kW Afore 3600TL dual 2KW E 2KW W no shade, DN15 March 14

*Hangs head in shame* Ragz please may I be stripped of my one and only smiley face and go back to zero.
I was in denial last week, then had a long weekend of over indulgence which didn't help but am now very much back in the zone, I am actually over the moon to have recovered and despite it not being obvious to you guys I actually lost weight this week.
I'm really not bothered that I am back at zero, I feel like I have drawn that line and starting again much more highly motivated to shift a few pounds. :T
After reading on here last week about carb addiction I started to investigate further and have done a lot of reading about good and bad carbs and have been loosely following a lower GI regime this past few days. Nothing too radical and the book I have been reading has a very easy exercise plan and suggests a very managable 20 minutes of walking per day on four days per week and a few minutes of strength / resistance exercise.
Mostly I am just in a phase of observing what I am eating and learning. I must say I do feel so much better for it already and my energy level has been sky high.Mortgage

Good Morning All
I think the weights starting to shift again – you know how some mornings you feel a bit thinner (maybe it’s just my imagination) but went on the scales again this morning and Yes!! another ½lb gone :j but just to be on the safe side and make sure it’s gone, for ever, I’ll wait and declare next week. Last weekend’s treats must have done me some good
I just need maintain this and hopefully I will reach my target by the end of the challenge.
Yesterday’s meals =
B – Boiled Egg, Oatcake
L – Ham Salad Sandwich
D – Sausage & Butter Bean Casserole, green beans & broccoli
S = Strawberries, 2 x glasses of wine (a little of what you fancy and all that)Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61
July - Grocery spends = £119.54
Aug - Grocery spends = £16.930 -
Morning all
Well it's dry, but still blowing a gale. Neighbours both sides, and I, were out this morning trying to put our gardens back together. Someone really ought to have a quiet word with Mr G up there and tell Him this is flaming June, and that doesn't mean flaming wet!
B - spicy, fruity porridge
D - turkey & ham casserole with lots of pulses and spiced up with a topping of grated parmigiano
T - no idea as am going to an art exhibition this evening and there will be 'nibbles' so no doubt something pastryfied. Will try to avoid as long as it doesn't look too tempting
S - melon, grapes, nectarine, pear
E - 15 mins done, will try to fit in some more before I go out later
Hope it's dry where you are, have a sunny day anyway0 -
I have not been posting as I've been struggling to keep going.
I have had some really greedy days this week when I felt starving all the time.
I am reporting a sts again so it could have been worse. I must do better next week.Life is not the way it’s supposed to be. It’s the way it is. The way you cope with it is what makes the difference.0 -
Could I join in please? We've just got back from holiday, where I managed to stay the same, but I have a very large amount of weight to lose and the holiday snaps are showing me I can't put it off any longer!
I don't want to say how heavy I am, but I'd like to report how much I lose (or gain) each week, if that's ok?
DH and I joined a gym 6 months ago, and have both got fitter but lost no weight at all! So I'm assuming some of the fat has turned to muscle, but as I'm in the 'dangerously obese' section on all the charts, I think I need to do something about my eating!
I'm hoping to lose about 1lb a week, but we'll see how it goes. I've done SW loads of times, but always end up putting it all back on, plus more. I can't afford the fees any more, and anyway £5 a week could be used for buying new, smaller clothes!
I'll start with today's dinner, which will be salad, jacket potato, tuna and sweetcorn or butter beans, with a fat free dressing.
Have a good day all! CBx:)0 -

Hi and welcome
The more the merrier aboard the weight loss wagon- although at the moment I am clinging onto the back of it with my heels dragging in the dirt :rotfl:
Last year I did a DVD called Insanity (youtube it-its very 'hard core' exercise) and although my shape changed and people said id lost weight the scales never moved a pound
I think a combination of diet and exercise is good overall.
We are all on a journey here some with abit to lose some with more but everyone helps and I have lost 6 lbs so far on this challenge and although that may not win any weight loss medals im really happy with it- I have lost it in a sensible way and am keeping it off
Ill go now as I dont half ramble on :rotfl:O/S weight loss 2.5 /10lbs (11st 8.0- 08.02)0 -

Afternoon All
I've just been out for the morning/early afternoon with Mum and am now grabbing half an hour R&R before work.
B: Muesli with extra sultanas
L: Bacon and mushroom savoury crepe. Mixed berry smoothie.
T: (Pack up for work) 2 halves of small savoury tarts - one goats cheese and mushroom, the other roasted Meditrranean vegetables - with salad consisting of rocket, baby leaves, cucumber, cherry tomatoes and coleslaw. Grapes
Snack: Cadbury's fudge
Exercise: Short walk to work and around the town I took Mum shopping to.
It's my 10K run tomorrow - I don't feel very well prepared for it at all. I'll be happy if I manage to do it in 1 hour 10 minutes so fingers crossed.
