de1amo Welcome to the thread. Good luck with your diet. I think you are right about the exercise being critical to weight loss. The weeks I do well are the weeks that I have done the most exercise.

    Morning Folks and welcome de1amo

I had a very lazy day yesterday watching all the Jubilee stuff on the box and the meals I had didn’t require much prep as I’m still using up all the food which wasn’t eaten at the weekend =
    B – Toast & Pate
    L – Ham Salad
D – Bacon and Veg Frittata
S = 4 custard creams with my cuppa, Oops :o

Ragz – I’ve been trying to include more vegetarian dishes in my weekly plan and went searching on the BBC GoodFood website….I’ve never been successful at doing links but here are the names & kcals per portion of some that I’ve tried, would recommend & will definitely make again
    Summer Vegetable Curry – 207kcals – low-fat, super healthy
    Veggie Lasagne – 279kcals – super healthy – counts as 2 of 5-a-day
    Five-a-day Tagine – 272kcals – low-fat
    Chicken with Lemon & Courgette Couscous – 275kcals – low-fat
    Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61
    July - Grocery spends = £119.54
    Aug - Grocery spends = £16.93

    Lunch : Carrot soup, banana

Mid afternoon : Two Amaretti biscuits

Evening meal : Battered fish, carrots and broccolli

Thanks Need2bthrifty, I will check those out.

So far I have had a slice of toast with jam and a big bowl of cornflakes.
No idea about lunch and dinner yet, got distracted cleaning my PC (OMG the dust, you would not believe, but it no longer sounds like it's about to take off!)

Should really do a food shop, but it's half term so have the 3 horrors...

Back from the caravan! Yes, I ate loads... DH seems to lose his appetite when we're camping but I graze all the time!

After moving house, kids tummy bugs for a week and then half a week in the caravan I feel like we have been eating junk and not cooking properly for AGES so I told DH that for the rest of the month it is 'mega veg super healthy no junk time' - he wasn't greatly enthused but agreed we (I) have not been cooking as well as I used to.
Haven't had a roast chicken for over a month, which used to be two days' dinners and a load of soups sorted (when there's no soup for lunch I am stuck!)U
Seem to have failed to buy/cook veg for ages, so I need to find some veg the kids all like and then meal plan to include lots of them... and stop buying junk...

Best get the recipe books out for some inspiration, but if anyone can suggest some high-veg dinner that'd be great...

RAGZ, I sometimes think we must have been separated at birth :D same height and weight (ish) and we same to be on and off the wagon at the same time :rotfl:
I have been firmly off the wagon for some time and am desperately clinging to the back wheels , trying to clamber back on :o
I finally dared weigh myself last week and had gone up to 11st 13 :eek: this is the most I've been for ages :(

Well I've just booked a holiday for September so I now have a real goal, I will not be getting my body out unless I can get back to 11st!!!

So please can I re-join your challenge, just remind me again when it ends please so I can set a target.
