wuvvies you shouldn't really feel that hungry. Some people feel they need to eat more protein to fill them up. Things like eggs [approx. 80 cals], cottage cheese [low cal/low fat], a few plain nuts may be more satisfying for you. I find a breakfast of porridge [contains both carbs and protein] really fills me up for the morning .Otherwise it is a matter of getting used to smaller portions of food.0

I really don't think that it is possible to diet without some discomfort.
If you're talking physical discomfort I couldn't disagree with you more. If you're always hungry then it may be that you're addicted to carbs and your blood sugars are all over the shop in which case a low carb lifestyle will be more successful for you.

Evening All
I haven't a weight loss to report again - in fact I really should lose some smiley faces as I still haven't lost the weight I regained on holiday. However, I am making a concerted effort this week and hopefully will be back to square one for the weigh in next week. I've been counting calories today and kept them down to 1,000. We've also been to the supermarket today and I've stocked up on all my favourite healthy foods. I'm also doing loads extra at work this week to cover the holidays so can do a low calorie pack up every day and be away from temptation in my kitchen.
B: Yoghurt with lemon juice and Splenda
L: One egg (double yolker) omelette with spinach and cheese.
T: 2 ryvitas with cream cheese and cherry tomatoes. Raspberries with Greek yoghurt.
Snacks: 2 small milky coffees and one large iced coffee.
Exercise: One hour Pilates class. About 5.5 miles of walking over the day.
Congratulations on becoming a Grandma JBD - my DGD is the light of my life.

I've been looking up on the internet about Carb Addiction as I had never heard of it before (and here was me thinking that I had tried every diet), and you're right I do seem to have all of the symptoms. Although I loose weight (I have done so before - I'm not saying it is easy) but it always goes back on.
I have followed a low GI diet before from my Rosemary C****y days - they advocate a low fat low GI diet. I never really got my head round the GI part so well. And I have allowed that part to slip. DH hates white bread/brown rice/wholegrain pasta etc so white has by and large slipped back in. I still always have salad etc with chips to lower the meal GI.
Thanks daska I will look again at GI index, better for DS too. He is supposed to be having all that for medical reasons."Never ascribe to malice that which is adequately explained by incompetence."Weight loss challenge:j: week 1~ Napoleon Bonaparte
