Aldhabra I'd love to eat breakfast but my fitness classes are first thing and I get terrible indigestion and heart burn if I eat anything. Its the sit ups and planks and generally bending over that does it. I eat as soon as I get home though. I've become so used to it now I dont get hungry till around 12."Sometimes life sucks....but the alternative is unacceptable."0

Hi
I've just found this thread and I wondered if I could join? I've done all the fad diets and found that they don't really work and that they are huuuugely expensive, so old style definitely seems the way forward.
I don't have a lot to lose about a stone and a half ish of excess baby weight! I've read a few pages of this thread and feel inspired to give it a go.
Is it weigh in day tomorrow? If I have my first weigh in then and then try and lose 2-3lb every week I'll be happy with that.
Speak soon
Missy x
p.s. I'm hoping that I can bring my shopping bill down in the process, due to buying all the faddy things, as well as making house work my exercise...... hmmm watch this space!0 -
Morning, All & Welcome Missy
I'm afraid I need to lose 3 smiley faces:(.
Not at all surprised really, I've been off the rails for a while now. I feel at a bit of a cross roads really, and have decided that, apart from needing a good kick up the proverbial, while I have a week off work next week, I'm also going to give myself a break from putting myself under pressure in other areas of my life.
So (deep breath!), I'm declaring myself out of the Summer challenge, though I'll still read & post. I'll enjoy next week - eating out, getting more fresh air and exercise. I'll still try to eat healthily, will work at reducing my portion sizes again, but am not going to obsess, and hopefully, I'll come back refreshed and ready to go on with renewed vigour.
Good luck with your weigh ins everyone. Happy Friday (at last!)

Good morning everyone
and welcome Missy
On a personal note I would just like to announce that yesterday I became a Grandma :j. Absolutely delighted, and even more incentive for me to be as fit and healthy as possible.
Ragz I have lost 2 pounds. I am very pleased with that, though it wasn't as good what the scales in Tesco said on Wednesday:(. Never mind.
Meal plans - not sure if/when I will be visiting my new little Grandson, so will just say as healthy as possible.
Exercise - I have to take my laptop in for repair, so will have a 4-5 mile bike ride. Plus I will do a 'workout' [sounds impressive] at home.
Best of luck everyone0
