Morning fat fighters!
In the past I have weighed in on Wednesdays but doing it on Fridays now.
Todays starting weight: 13st 3lbs. Even though its not a true result it is still a 1lb loss from last Wednesday.
Just enjoyed my traditional Friday morning bacon butty and latte but the rest of the day will be ok.
Lunch - chicken salad, probably from Subway, no mayo or sauce
Tea - homemade tandoori chicken, chickpea dhal, naan bread and salad
probably accompanied by a few bottles of Bulmers - I have a week off work now so I'm celebrating!!0 -
STS since I last posted, but that's not the end of the world as I have been away for 10 days, self catering from hotel rooms and then staying with DD. Two nights very heavy on the red wine were involved so I don't deserve to lose any more.
I am going to put on a determined spurt in the next three weeks as I have a special lunch at the end of the month and would like to be as confident as possible. I need to get my meals planned out and shop accordingly so that I give myself the best possible chance.

S -kiwi, apple, nectarine, banana

Thanks to ragz for keeping the list up to date. Did we find out how many more weeks to go? Cos if I need get a move on if I'm to reach target!

Not been a great week for me, pulled a muscle or something in my lower back / butt so have been on a real go slow. I should have known better, exercise can't be good for you. :rotfl:
I didn't think I had done so bad on the eating front but scales tell me I have put on 2 pounds. I may be in denial but am convinced they are telling porky pies, so will weigh again tomorrow am.Mortgage

Mornin' all
Weigh in this morning and I've STS again. I suppose at least I'm not putting on.
Today is the first time I've tried my own HM yoghurt after buying the yoghurt maker. I did it overnight. It doesn't taste as tart as bought yoghurt but it was nice.
Today
Breakfast : HM yoghurt, teaspoon of sour cherry jam
Lunch : Spicy roast vegetables, grapes
Mid afternoon : Two amaretti biscuits
Evening meal : LO chicken curry and rice (small portion) scone and LF spread
Half a pint of skimmed milk for drinks

Despite not being very good this week because I had a few meals out in the sunshine with wine, plus our coffee morning Jubilee party, I am reporting a 1lb loss.
Ragz, can I drop my target to 7lbs please. I am not going to get anywhere near my original one now and its depressing looking at how far off it I am.Life is not the way it’s supposed to be. It’s the way it is. The way you cope with it is what makes the difference.0 -
My weigh in this week is another disappointing:mad: STS . I know it is what I deserve
but I'm still disappointed
in myself.
However, that is in the past, at least it is not a gain.I WILL do better this week.
morning all
im feeling so fed up. my tummy is always rumbling and im never satisfied. i did ww for ages and it worked and still does work for me but i dont remember feeling so moody, grumpy with anyone that dares to have a snack in the evening and generally down. last night i had a blow out and for the first time this week i felt fine. im trying to fill myself up on water, this is what i had yesterday not including this blow out in the evening.
do you all feel hungry and down? i know the its about food as everything else is fine and last night i was fine and dandy. i have no clothes that fit. i only need to loose 10 lbs but that may as well be 10 stone.:(:(:(
I do feel hungry all the time. That is why I'm fat. I think that I am just used to eating too much and don't recognise when I am full/hungry properly. If I get down to a sensible weight and eat sensible size meals for a while maybe that feeling will go away. I really don't think that it is possible to diet without some discomfort.
Having said that;Wuvvies - you may be sensitive to your sugar highs and lows, by trying to eat only 3 times a day you are not giving your body a level supply of energy, so you get tired, irritable and moody. Insulin/sugar play a huge role in our bodies and some people are more sensitive to them than others. You may find you NEED snacks, something every 2-4 hours, to keep you blood sugar stable and your energy/moods level. Either make up for the calories by having smaller portions or by exercising. If you need help, a tracker like Myfitnesspal can be really useful. You probably found you ate more with WW because you were keeping track and knew how much you could have, it's tempting to starve yourself when dieting but the body gets it's way by bingeing eventually...
I do agree with everything you have said there. I would also add that whole-grain releases sugars slower, meaning that after eating white bread, pasta you can get a sugar rush, then a drop, in a way that you would not if you had eaten the slower releasing whole-grain option. I just did a quick google search and found this, but there is loads of stuff out there about this http://www.channel4.com/entertainment/tv/microsites/Y/yawye/pasta.html

missy  Hi, good luck.sock-knitter wrote: »think i need some ideas for breakfast, have eaten too many eggs this week, they so quick and convenient, but contain cholesterol.
Eggs were downgraded a few years ago, I seem to remember that they got the level of cholesterol wrong (I might be wrong about that but I think the decimal point was in the wrong place) But current guidelines do not limit the amount of eggs in a diet due to cholesterol levels.

Hi,
1LB LOSS for me :j Can I have anotherPlease RAGZ
Im alittle gutted as the scales were fluttering between 10st (1lb loss) and 9'13 (2 ilb loss) but rested on 10st- Im desperate for my weight to begin with a 9 again
JDB- well done on becoming a grandma  how exciting
For all those struggling- I hate being hungry and used to be scared of it  which is daft but after a week or so of cutting back i promise you your appetiate will shrink- but make sure you have a couple of healthy snacks.
I always have breakfast, then a snack approx 10:30am, then lunch, then a snack around 3-3:30pm then my tea and if im really desperate for a treat in the evening i will have ONE rich tea biscuit-everyone is different but this works for meO/S weight loss 2.5 /10lbs (11st 8.0- 08.02)0
