thanks for the welcome lavenderbees and JBD, Huge congratulations JBD :) on your grand child!!

Well I'm not quite sure what food will be today, I don't usually have time for breakfast with the little one, I think lunch will involve some chicken and salad and dinner will very prob be left over bolognaise.

Goimg to jump on the scales in a bit and see what my actual weight loss goal is.

    Happy Friday everyone.

    Morning all :)
Huge congrats on your new grandson jbd, hope you get some lovely cuddles today.
Food at workshop yesterday not too bad, resisted the biscuits at morning and afternoon coffee :)
    Thursday:
B: juice, babybel (running late due to no trouser panic, had to do some improvising with my smart office trousers, a hairband and my bump band to cover the gap and look suitably professional!)
Lunch: fish with ratatouille, new pots, peas and sweetcorn. Strawberry gateau
Dinner: potted shrimp starter, rack of lamb main and lemon tart for dessert. Left 3/4 of starter and half of pud.

Today will be similar at lunch, so will choose healthiest options from buffet. Dinner will be burgers, hash browns and beans as I'll be too tired to cook.

Eta: weighed in this morning, still sts, but expecting to start gaining soon as I actually look pg now as opposed to tubby ;)

Apologies for not being here much, have had a run of illnesses in the house, still not unpacked half of it!
While I am delighted to declare a 3lb loss I am forced to admit it is not from healthy eating and exercise but from catching the kids' tummy bug! I lost 4lb in 24 hours, I was so dehydrated! Have put 1lb back on and I expect another may join it, but at least it has given me a kick start and I am feeling slimmer so I am eating less (funny how that works).

Lavenderbees, I totally understand about dropping out,if you're not feeling into it it can be self defeating to carry on. I find I get into a rut of eating bad and the worse I feel about it the more I eat!

MissyMoo - welcome to the thread. Have you read the first few pages? I would advise aiming for 1-2lb a week, as that's healthy, sustainable and realistic. 3lb can happen some weeks but doesn't usually, especially if you don't have masses to lose. Do you want to declare a target for the challenge or are you happy to just join the thread and do it week by week?

JBD - well done on the 2lb loss and congratulations!

    morning all

im feeling so fed up. my tummy is always rumbling and im never satisied. i did ww for ages and it worked and still does work for me but i dont remember feeling so moody, grumpy with anyone that dares to have a snack in the evening and generally down. last night i had a blow out and for the first time this week i felt fine. im trying to fill myself up on water, this is what i had yesterday not including this blow out in the evening.
    b - porridge
l omlette with mush and peppers and coleslaw on side
t chicken thighs with 2 large mushrooms and broc carrots beans and peas.

    should be enough then came
    ww crisps
    ww yog
    2 mini magnum lollies
    2 home made custard biscuits.

i ate that in about 15 mins and that was my blow out

    today im having
    weetabix
    prawn salad
    hm pizza with salad
fruit salad for afters or snacks

do you all feel hungry and down? i know the its about food as everythiing else is fine and last night i was fine and dandy. i have no clothes that fit. i only need to loose 10 lbs but that may as well be 10 stone.:(:(:(

Wuvvies - you may be sensitive to your sugar highs and lows, by trying to eat only 3 times a day you are not giving your body a level supply of energy, so you get tired, irritable and moody. Insulin/sugar play a huge role in our bodies and some people are more sensitive to them than others. You may find you NEED snacks, something every 2-4 hours, to keep you blood sugar stable and your energy/moods level. Either make up for the calories by having smaller portions or by exercising. If you need help, a tracker like Myfitnesspal can be really useful. You probably found you ate more with WW because you were keeping track and knew how much you could have, it's tempting to starve yourself when dieting but the body gets it's way by bingeing eventually...

The key is a slow steady supply of energy... plus exercise.

Um, yeah, and I totally practise what I preach, that's why I am so skinny :rotfl:
