Morning all
Started well with usual porridge yesterday but lunch was a bit of a disaster, why do people not think outside the pastry case when it comes to buffets? Tea/snacks was two nectarines, body craving non-stodge.
Today
B - spicy fruity porridge. DGD2 stayed overnight, she'd not had porridge made like that before and loved it, especially as she had a teaspoon of golden syrup on hers
D - turkey and ham casserole, lots of pulses/fresh veg
T some soup from the casserole, crackerbread with marmite, marmalade.
Snacks - only have kiwi and apples left in the fruit bowl so that's what it will be
E - Tried to reach 15 mins this morning but body going into sleep mode after yesterday's 18 hour day so may not get any more today
Back to watching Jubilee celebrations (as long as my eyelids don't drop), have a good day0 -
i need to join here! 2 weeks ago i was told by the doctor i must exercise more and stop drinking PLUS lose some weight and eat more healthily.
i stood at 84kgs and by last friday i had lost 82,9kgs so a loss of about 2lbs in a week.
Last night i sensed my wife needs some help with my diet because i found myself eating chicken on a bed of porridge(made with water) and strangely i didnt really enjoy it!
İ believe the only way to diet is to combine it with exercise so i went out and bought and exercise bike yesterday of which i will need encouragement to use-
According to the cardiologist i am very fit but i carry my weight around my gut so its no alcohol.(plus my liver is a wreck at the moment!!)mfw'11 No68- 55k mortgage İO--little to nothing saved! i must do better.0 -

Back from the caravan! Yes, I ate loads... DH seems to lose his appetite when we're camping but I graze all the time!
After moving house, kids tummy bugs for a week and then half a week in the caravan I feel like we have been eating junk and not cooking properly for AGES so I told DH that for the rest of the month it is 'mega veg super healthy no junk time' - he wasn't greatly enthused but agreed we (I) have not been cooking as well as I used to.
Haven't had a roast chicken for over a month, which used to be two days' dinners and a load of soups sorted (when there's no soup for lunch I am stuck!)
Seem to have failed to buy/cook veg for ages, so I need to find some veg the kids all like and then meal plan to include lots of them... and stop buying junk...
Best get the recipe books out for some inspiration, but if anyone can suggest some high-veg dinner that'd be great...June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500
