Before I declare my WI can I just agree with all the other posters N2BT. Its a horrible position to be in I also know from personal experience. This guy is manipulative his aim is to isolate your friend by causing discord between you. Spreading silly rumours is a very common trick probably done in the hope you will rise to the bait and start "bad mouthing him" he then comes across as the injured party. Simply raise your eyebrows if anyone mentions the subject. The truth will out as these people tend to be out of control and usually esculate their behaviour to the point everyone can see they are a sack of proverbial. Unfortunately your friend will only leave when it is HER time to but she will need all the help to rebuild her confidence and self respect then. In your heart you know you're a good person that's all that matters.

OK, I have eaten all the ice cream, chocolate and treats, rewarding myself with naughty food for my hard work is over. Now the summer dresses are out of the [STRIKE]wardrobe[/STRIKE] boxes and bags scattered across my bedroom, I am regretting it all... Now I AM going to start again and actually lose some weight before the end of this challenge!

    First breakfast - Cornflakes
Second Breakfast - Tinned peaches with LF greek yogurt.

I have a feeling I am heavier than I was before I started, last time I weighed I was 11st 11! Which means I have put on nearly half a stone. Well, onwards and downwards...

Not too good this week, a STS, and I know I've eaten too much bread :o. Thank you for the list ragz, you guessed I'd sts before I weighed myself this morning :D. Not sure how many weeks (7/8?) but I'd better get a move on if I'm going to reach target!

    B - spicy fruity porridge
    L - crackerbread w/marmite, apple
D - out to a barbecue, will try to avoid the buns. Taking a Sparrer's mess (not as revolting as it sounds!) for pud, made with half lf double cream and half ff yogurt, blueberries and raspberries. The yogurt takes the edge of the richness and gives it a refreshing tang
    S - banana, melon, satsuma
E - 15 mins this morning, 15 min walk at lunchtime

Thank you for the comments, today I'm free from any angst and anger and I love my life. I wish N2BT's friend the same, and more

    Have a sunshiny day :)

    Morning Folks,

Thanks to all of you for your comments and support, and yes I have been re-living the whole awful scenario which I thought had been put behind me. But you are right…..deep down I know you are right, Because of the kind of person I am and the work that I’ve been involved in I always get indignant and angry about injustice/miss-representation - but what made this so hurtful was that it was a member of my own family who passed on the information……like he doesn’t know me!!

I will admit that some not so nice thoughts have gone through my mind and I have a friend...who has a friend.....who knows someone.....who knows someone,;);) IFKWIM. However I am a great believer in “karma” so this guy will get his just dessert without any help from me.

At the moment I am still working through the range of emotions this incident has again brought to the surface – thankfully it hasn’t driven me to comfort eating, although I did have a couple of glasses of wine – but as you say I have friends who respect and care for me so I’m best to focus my energy and thoughts on them – thank you, especially you Sparrer for sharing your experience it has helped greatly to put things in perspective.

We are in the process of selling the family home following the death of our father and once this is done all connections with this small community will be severed, once and for all.

:j:j On a happier note I'm pleased to declare a 1lb loss so all the gardening I’ve done this week has paid off – speaking of which I must get out again today and cut the grass. Enjoy the sunshine wherever you are.

    Morning All

Happy to report a 2lb loss this week - not bad seeing as I have been scoffing chocolate, beer, chilli con carne and ice-cream yesterday. 14st 5lb now = 9lb lost so far this challenge and 5 more to meet my target.

Need2bthrifty - Personally I'd keep shtum unless someone mentions it to you directly. If someone does I'd make sure my eyebrows shot up past my hairline and I looked at them long and hard with an expression of baffled amazement that they could have given such an account credence for even a nanosecond. And then either change the subject or leave the room in a dignified way.

I'm reporting a STS this week as I am within 1/2lb of last weeks weight. Taking the night of the diet seemed to be a really bad move for me as it turned into a long weekend. But I'm back in the zone now and that is all in the past.

This coming week is going to be the most challenging so far because despite only having £18 left in the grocery budget, I need to loose weight and feed the family. And Baking and not eating the cakes etc is sooooo hard.

That's a nice way of putting it :D my scales are telling me I am back up by 1/4 of a pound since last week, so I'm going with STS as well. 1/4 seems like not much at all to worry about putting on, but such is life I would have be delighted if it had been a loss.

    Afternoon all

Can I report that I've STS this week. I thought I'd been quite good but obviously not good enough. I think I need to look at my portion sizes

Odd day today foodwise because I had the morning off work and went into town.

    Breakfast : Toasted tea cake

    Lunch : Slice of quiche

Mid afternoon : Two Amaretti biscuits

    Evening meal : Sausage pasta
