    Morning all :)

No sunshine here although I'm told it'll be over 20c this week - which may lead me to take off one of my three layers :D. Will keep looking, don't want to blink and miss it

B - Boiled egg, slice plain WW Danish
D - Pasta with diced gammon, green pesto, sliver parmigiano . Apple
    T - 3 crackerbread spread w/ff yogurt, 1xmarmite, 1xprawn, 1xmarmalade
S - melon, grapes, pear, nectarine
E - Class this morning, induction for self and DD at gym this afternoon. Poor trainer doesn't know what she's in for, I've got copd and DD has lupus, perhaps we should have booked one at a time to soften the blow :rotfl:

    Have a sunny day :)

As for diet tips, here's 10 from http://healthyeatingandwellbeing.wordpress.com/2011/01/18/10-things-you-need-to-know-about-losing-weight/
    1 Don’t skip meals.
    2 Use a smaller plate
    3 Count calories
    4 Don’t blame your metabolism
5 Protein staves off hunger pangs
6 Soups keep you feeling fuller for longer.
7 The wider the choice of foods the more you eat.
8 Low fat dairy helps you excrete more fat.
9 Exercise continues burning fat, even while you sleep.
10 Keep moving and lose weight.

Determined to lose the dodgy hugs :A

Not sure about all of these. If they suit you then stick to them but they don't work for everyone. This helps explain why the low fat, calorie controlled diet isn't the best choice for everyone.

My body naturally chooses intermittent fasting but with the meds I'm on at the moment I have to force myself to eat a proper meal 3 times a day which has left me feeling so out of whack I've had to give up the meds for a few days - bit of an own goal there methinks but hopefully a third of the dose is better than nothing, and it's certainly better than the pain that comes with having to force myself to eat or taking the meds with too little food.

Calories aren't the be all and end all - if all your calories come from carbs then you can feel hungrier and still put on fat. If you eat fat and protein you can use it for energy but excess isn't stored as fat in the way carbs are. In that context high fat dairy also helps you burn fat (I eat at least 20fl oz of really thick cream a week :D). And whilst it's good for you, not everyone can exercise (e.g. me) and I'm still losing weight reasonably easily. 7lb so far on this challenge (well 9 actually, I sneaked a peak on the scales this morning).

Another bad week at work is reflected again in my eating and scales. This has to stop!!! (work so stressful colleaguewho has been here years longer thann m has resigned  )
So back to O as in zero nada bye bye smillies hello wibbly wobbly tummy. I really need some advice on how to not turn to alcohol and calorie-laden rreats when stressed. Yesterday
    B: toast and marmalade
    L: couscous with seasticks
    S: apple chopped into slices
D: meat pie with carrots, peas and beans
    No alcohol!!! And long walk.

My advice to you for dealing with this eating when stressed is to know it is going to happen and plan for it. If you are giving in at 4ish and eating "bad" stuff. Take a nice snack which won't break your diet and eat it then.

Having not broken your diet at work you might not need the wine at home because you haven't "failed" at the diet for the day. Can you plan another treat instead such as a foot bath or half hour on Mario Cart or whatever it is you like?

Exercise really helps your ability to deal with stress. I can really recommend combat fit (boxing), fantastic for dealing with pent up frustrations. But any exercise will make you feel better. Book a class you are more likely to do it.

    Mornin' all

Weekend wasn't to bad. I made soup but I think it needs more liquid in it. Its more like vegetable mush !
Got plasterers in today to smooth off my chimney breast (oooh Matron !) and plasterboard the landing.
That will mean some decorating for me and that means moving about hence exercise !

    Today
    Breakfast : LF yoghurt, banana

Lunch : Vegetable mush !, brazil nuts and sultanas

Mid afternoon : Two amaretti biscuits

Evening meal : HM quiche, salad

Half a pint of skimmed milk for drinks.

I am typing this from the naughty corner as I have been very very bad this weekend :(

After my meal out Saturday I was fairly good Sunday up until teatime when me and OH shared a KFC bucket :eek: AND if that wasnt bad enough I then had TWO slices of homemade tealoaf :eek:
I dont know what I was thinking but I felt very very full and sick all night so I guess there is a lesson there to be learnt:o

    MUST do better this week!

Hi Molly, thank you for doing this, I just spotted you have me listed as 2lb but my total loss this challenge (as of Friday) should be 7lb.

    Hi Daska,
Im not posting total weight loss just keeping all the weight loss/ gain/ STS for particular weeks in one place so Ragz can find them easily and edit her original post. I have amended my original post to include for Friday 18th. Hoping Ragz will be back soon x
