    Hello everyone

I've been MIA for a while as I've been well enough to get back to work but its leaving me very tired. I put on 2lb after I went back and have lost 1lb since so overall 1lb gain
    so far this challenge :o

I'm actually quite pleased - have not used the office vending machine once, and when there's sweets on offer I only have one or two - used to have loads before.

ragz Hope your move has gone well. All that shifting boxes may well shift some lbs too ;)

Now that I've got a bit of a work routine going and usually manage to take in a lunchbox salad, I need to suss out some exercise. I have lost weight very quickly with running in the past, but I'm a bit unsure about how exercise will affect my fatigue. I so can't afford more time off work

Any advice on exercise with health issues gratefully received.

Well done on all the hard work and good eating everyone :A

    Afternoon All

Thanks for missing me, I have been on holiday. We got back home about 11.30pm last night and I'm freezing!! We've had a lovely time - lots of sunshine and pavement cafes, icecreams, breakfast on the balcony etc, etc. I have put a couple of pounds back on but don't mind as I have eaten everyting I wanted this week without worrying. I shall be careful all week and weigh in on Friday to see what the scales say then.

I have DGD here today which is lovely as I've missed her. I walked up to collect her this morning (10 minutes) and we then walked home (same journey 1 hour!). Still, we picked dandelion clocks and daisies, found fir cones and feathers, collected stones and stamped in puddles so had a lovely time. She's now having her rest whilst I catch up and prepare the Sunday meal for DS and DDiL, DGD, DH and myself for later.

B: None as up late and out to collect DGD.
L: Boiled egg with soldiers. Banana
D: Roast pork, cauliflower and broccoli cheese. Probably a small helping of whatever pudding I rustle up shortly.

Exercise: Walk with DGD. I shall also ring up my friend later and see if she fancies a walk this evening.

    Rose

ETA: Did have an evening walk - 5 miles. Also had rice pudding at meal time and just put some scones in the oven for DH so may have a piece of one!

Thanks for that SSM what i really need is a slightly different tip for 5 'if you're really stressed...' the main thing is to reduce the stress i know but me and my colleagues not succeeding at that :( (as evidenced by one resigning, and another now threatening to)
Then i get home late cross and tired and pour a large glass of wine cos i deserve it.

I hope work gets better for you soon- I know how you feel our place is just as bad. You feel 'lucky' for surviving with a job but heavens are the survivers really put on

I know this is prob not what you want to hear but I pretty much stopped drinking  I just felt drinking made everything seem 100 times worse. I feel so much better for not drinking I hardly drink at all even at weekends and I dont miss it. This i understand is not for everyone :o

Im glad your feeling better :). I think Sparrer maybe able to shed some light on exercising gentley. If I was you I wouldnt start off running I think that maybe very hard going. How about simple walking or gentle swimming- maybe some aqua aerobics

Hi Folks, hope youve all had a good day.

It’s been an absolutely gorgeous day here and the skies are still bright blue and cloudless. Spent most of the day in the garden and picked a huge bunch of rhubarb but hardly made a dent in the overgrown patch – thankfully managed to give most of it away to friends and neighbours. One neighbour was in the process of painting his shed so in exchange he painted mine as well :T – what a gent – but I think I got the better deal.

Got 3lb of rhubarb in the berry pan with sugar & ginger, steeping overnight to make jam tomorrow and another 2-3lbs  about to be chopped up for the freezer – good job I love rhubarb

    Meals today =
B – Porridge with a drizzle of honey
    L – l/o Meze from yesterday
D – Grilled Sausages x 2, mashed potatoes, green beans.

Just about to make & freeze a batch of gnocchi with the left over mashed potatoes and some tomato sauce for tomorrows dinner – must be all this sunshine giving me so much energy to get things done.

Evening all :). Rather late but it's been a very full, and enjoyable day

Rosetta/savesummore I can't recommend (don't want a slap on the wrist from the forum police ;)), can only tell you what happens at my exercise class and what they suggest. First, never ever overdo or push yourself, if you feel tired you stop! Every exercise is done for one minute with a couple of minutes rest in between. It sounds like it's for softies but when we've been round the circuit of 13 exercises twice, we know we've worked! Newbies get to stop after the first circuit until they feel ready to move on, and they decide when that is. Exercises are alternated, ie first one standing, second sitting, so upper and lower body are both get a workout. Learning to breathe correctly is the primary reason for the class, amazing, I've been breathing since I was born only to find I was doing it wrong all those years :rotfl:. Just take it slowwwwwly and stop when you want to, no ten mile yomping or Olympic-style swimming. Sometimes I even do a couple of twists, stretches or whatever while I'm waiting for the kettle to boil, my theory being two twists is better than none :D

B - mashed banana in ff yogurt
D - veg korma with a slice of chicken
T - mini ciabatta, 1 side marmite, 1 side marmalade
S - neighbours dd was being creative, brought me 3 hm scones so I had the cheese and black olive one for supper. Satsuma, nectarine, apple, pear. Can't remember who it was who said they'd tell a relative about citrus, but I bought some satsumas as I was missing them so much and after 3 days my hands are so painful :( which proves that they do aggravate my arthritis.
E - 10 mins this morning, 10 mins this evening

Thank you for the list Molly, great job :T

    Sleep well :)

    Morning, All

Well, we suddenly got a burst of sunshine and warmth yesterday afternoon, and I can't tell you how welcome it was :j

I've eaten a fair bit of bread in various forms over the weekend, so need to cut back on that this week. I did a freezer inventory yesterday, and I really don't need to make any more bread or buns for a good few weeks. I have a whole drawer full of "bread" items in one form or another.

    Today's plan is -

    Brekkie - hm muesli
Lunch - hm tomato soup and small bun from freezer
    Dinner - pasta bake

Treats - will try not to

    Have a good day

    LB xx

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
