    :TWell done, that's a 5lb weight-loss in one week!!:T

Aye, but I can't really take any credit, as I shouldn't have stuffed myself with rubbish for days to put it on in the first place! It's obviously been a false reading, really as I couldn't possibly lose a real 5lbs in 4 days:rotfl:

Been up early today (kitten demanding to be let out, he knows how to jump on me to wake me and then look so sweet, he doesn't get told off :rotfl:) so have been posting like mad on MSE :D

Yesterday, I added a handful of oven chips to my dinner as the portion of curry was teeny tiny.

    Today's plan is -

Brekkie - (my tummy's rumbling already) - boiled egg and hm bread toasted

Lunch - possibly cheese and crackers. I have out of date goats cheese to use up. I LOVE goats cheese...:T

Dinner - hm pizza from the freezer, and a kind of greek salad I think.

Treats - glass or two of healthy red wine.

Have a good Saturday folks. My plans are to not spend any money at all...so that narrows down options on what I can do straight away.

    Morning Folks,

Oooh….last night’s curry was lush. I’ve eaten restaurant “Thai” style curry before but never made my own from scratch. The recipe called for reduced fat coconut milk and I only had full fat in the cupboard, but at least there was no other oil or butter in it, even though I was probably well over in terms of the calories allotted to the recipe I’ll claw those back from somewhere.

It’s a bit of a use-up day today – I had half an aubergine left over from making the curry yesterday and thought.. a-ha.. Aubergine dip… rummaged in the freezer to see what would go with that – so regardless of the weather/temp here, in my mind I’m off to the Eastern Mediterranean for lunch….then on to South America for dinner….of course that’s after I’ve had a swim in JBD’s new pool :rotfl: ……Well I can dream can’t I.

Sun's out here at the moment, hope its shining on you too - have a good day :)

    Today’s menu =
B – Toast, spreading cheese, cucumber.
Meze lunch = Baba ganoush, spinach & feta patties, tzatziki, pitta bread, salad.
D – Chilli, potato wedges, salsa.
    Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61
    July - Grocery spends = £119.54
    Aug - Grocery spends = £22.18

I have been swimming this morning and as I was updating my signature I realised how close I am to completeing my own 'mini swim challenge' :D

Today will go something like this:

B: 2 boiled eggs, 2 HM bread toast & butter
L: HM veg soup & maybe 1 slice HM bread
S: trying to keep to an absolute minimum today due to being out tonight
T: Meal out with friends- had a look online at menu and not exactly many 'healthy' choices

Its peeing it down here again today all this rain is delaying any work Im trying to get done on my veg patch to the point where I can see this years veg growing being a total wash out (no pun intended!) :rotfl:

    Anyone 'seen' Rosewood?

    Morning all :)

Well done savesummore, I can't swim now so think that's a wonderful feat : :T

Following N2BT's lead, she's given me itchy feet so I've been to Scotland this morning, will be in Italy for dinner and going Romany for tea ;)

    B - spicy fruity porridge
    D - aubergine parmigiana. Apple
T - soup made from chicken carcass and a few veggies I've dug out of the freezer with a rustic roll. It's in the sc and smells so good, might swap D and T today :D
S - melon, satsuma, grapes, pear
E - 10 mins this morning, more to do later

I had a strange dream that ragz had put the list up but it was just the names, no-one had any smiley faces . Must have been thinking about her moving and not doing it for a while this time. I was pleased when I woke up and realised it wasn't real

Have sunny day, I'm chilling watching the Jubilee parade, no doubt when I want to get outside later the sun will have changed to rain again...

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Whats everyones top 5 diet tips?

    Mine are:

    1. Eat breakfast- I love something really filling- porridge/ eggs on toast
    2. Drink plenty of water
    3. I like to eat carrot sticks with my lunch- same crunch as crisps but not the calories :)
    4. I also like to have something sweet after lunch so I usually have an orange (or you could have pinapple, tinned peachs etc)
    5. If your really hungry eat something- just try and make it the most healthy something you can :D

    Have a good Sunday everyone

Thanks for that SSM what i really need is a slightly different tip for 5 'if you're really stressed...' the main thing is to reduce the stress i know but me and my colleagues not succeeding at that :( (as evidenced by one resigning, and another now threatening to)
My days start well good breakfast healthy lunch then 4ish it goes to pot and i scoff sweeties for a sugar boost as i realise the work day is almost done and my work isnt. Will try taking in a chopped apple etc for that crash (and a sodit approach to work?)
Then i get home late cross and tired and pour a large glass of wine cos i deserve it. And of course that's the end of th diet with promises to self i'll be better next day. So also need tip for substitute relax/treat drinkwhen i get home. Probs very telling of work stress that i dont drink any alcohol at the weekend and find diet easier to stick to!!!

Thanks, Molly. You're list made me laugh out loud. I love the dodgy hugs for the gainers, and I'm chuffed to bits with my 5 applauders (worth gaining and losing just to get those, methinks :rotfl:)

I've had a lazy morning, enjoying my bacon and eggs, and chatting on the phone/email with friends. My neighbour has just called round to say we're going for a walk this afternoon, as I think she's sussed that I feel as flat as a pancake (unfortunately, not reflected in my tummy size :(). This chewy weather is getting me down, as is the lack of prospect of a holiday somewhere warm and sunny (though that's my choice this year...but now others are going on holiday, I feel yuk about it).

Unlike you, Dundee Doll, my work stress shows in my food and drink choices for 7 days a week, and there's ony 2 things I can think of that may help - 1. don't have the "naughty" choices available in the house, so you can't possibly go to them when you feel the emotional need to, and 2. look for a distraction. I'm still trying to find my distraction. It's poo, though! I really sympathise about your work situation. We, too, are not replacing staff who leave, and that simply means the rest of us work harder and longer, yet apparently we should just be grateful we have a job. Well, yes, and no. But one day the situation will change, and I will have the greatest pleasure in handing in my notice...well, that's my wee fantasy anyway :)Hang on in there.

Well, today's plan is not a good one, but hopefully not horrendous either...

Brunch - was bacon, egg, beans, toast

Dinner will be - pasta bake with sweetcorn, peas, spinach and anything else I fancy thrown in. It's a real storecupboard meal which will last me for the week, hopefully, as I'm not going shopping until next Sunday earliest, so i don't blow my grocery challenge:T.

Treats - what do you mean bacon & eggs? Nope, my real treat will be a glass or two of red wine. I can't have that lingering in the kitchen, now can I?

The sun is shining here now, so my mood is lifting a little. Enjoy your afternoon.

    LB xx
