Morning all

N2BT you sound just like me, I'm single but could feed an army for a week on bargains 'too good to pass by'! I miss French onion soup, have tried making it without alcohol but it's impossible to get the flavour right without it
. Ah well, just have to stick with my chicken and leek
I know what you mean, I first tried delia's one is fun recipe which is slightly different from the complete cookery recipe but still had 1/4 pt of wine in it  But I did find a bonus of keeping it in the fridge overnight I was able to skim most of the fat/butter off the top

Gorgeous day here (so far...). What a mood lifter to wake up to sunshine and blue skies for a change
. LB xx
Definitely works for me, my mood much improved today and I’m now in a more rational frame of mind thinking “no news is good news”. Also pleased that I only gave in to two of the whispering digestives that are in the cupboard.
Hopefully I’ll get caught up on some gardening today; it’s still a bit cold (high of 8 degrees
) but nice to get working outside for a change.
Will deal with some more onions today and make a batch of individual onion tarts for the freezer
.

How do you remember how many swimming lengths you have done?
I've started swimming while kids are having their lessons, but the pool is short and I keep forgetting how many lengths I've done is (am I on 16 lengths or was that 16 and now I've done 17?)"Never ascribe to malice that which is adequately explained by incompetence."Weight loss challenge:j: week 1~ Napoleon Bonaparte

EllaRose like you my meals, particularly breakfast and tea, can be repetitive but I like what I have so it's no hardship. I vary dinners as I have a freezer stuffed with allsorts (not the liquorice sort
) and get lots of variety so don't feel as if I'm being deprived.

Welcome - are you aiming to lose anything by the summer [STRIKE]solc[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]solst[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]sol[/STRIKE]by the 21st June? Do you want to post up your challenge?

I have to keep count as I go along, otherwise I forget. I do lose count sometimes if I have to do too much Granny dodging, so I also note what time I start my swim. Then I make sure I do my hour so I know roughly how many lengths I have done. How do you remember how many swimming lengths you have done?

Ragz I know exactly what you mean about pool rage. There seem to be 2 types of swimmers, those who just want to swim, and those who want to socialise. I have been quite lucky lately, I have managed to get my lengths in, even though they don't do lanes at my new pool.
In my dreams I win the lottery, then I can have my very own lap pool.[and a hunky male trainer] And all of the OS weight losers can come round and use it.
