Sorry to hear things are tough, Tink. I've thought about you over the last week or so, and hoped your absence wasn't bad news about your gran. I'm so pleased to hear she is improving - hold onto that thought, and try to make the office carp simply background noise.
Mind, I'm one to talk about leaving work behind, aren't I? Yesterday I spent 5 hrs (I didn't have)working on an urgent piece of work only to be told at the end of the day it wasn't needed any more...., so now in addition to all the extra work I already have piling up, i also have the 5 hrs of work I would have done, to do. I honestly could have sobbed with frustration and anxiety. Came home and hit the whisky & coke, as well as the chocolate.
Feel better this morning after a reasonable night's sleep. I can only do what I can do.... :A
Anyway, I've decided to write off this week. A WI tomorrow will simply depress me more, I think, so I'll stay away from the scales, and I'm going to aim to get on top of things so that next Monday, I start a much better week. If I can do some walking at the weekend, that will get me into the mindset a bit more.
I'm going to try to post here though, as even being good throughout the day will help reduce the sabotage.....so today's plan then is -
Brekkie - hm muesli
Lunch - hm tomato soup and the last of my hm bread
Dinner - seems to be bolognese sauce to which I'll add the lo couple of spoonfuls of baked beans that need using up, and a bit of pasta....like N2BT, I also need to label my freezer stuff better :rotfl:
Hope you all have a super Thursday. I'm running a bit later today but cba to hurry myself. it won't do the management any harm to wonder/worry why I'm not at my desk an hour early as normal....though in reality, i think they're all wrapped up in their own problems, and won't even notice unless they want something YESTERDAY/NOW! it's a bit of a grim world at the moment, but let's keep hanging in there...:(

Morning all
Sorry to hear some of you are having problems/anxieties, hang in and there and remember, this too shall pass. I wasn't particularly looking forward to retirement but the posts remind me of some of the angst work caused and am grateful (sometimes) those days are behind me. Re not being able to exercise, there's a range of things you can do sitting/lying down. Early on in my illness I wasn't able to walk more than a few yards but I had a great physio who assured me I didn't have to stand up to exercise, there are people who are perhaps bedridden who still do upper exercise. Worth a thought, I know it helped me
B - porridge
D - veg omelette. Apple
T - Crackerbread, marmite, philly/br@nston, marmalade
S - melon, banana, grapes, pear
E - 2 1/2 hours this morning
Have a good day0 -
Mornin' all
Yesterday wasn't to good with driving down to Heathrow. I had a banana and flapjack on the way down, half a M&S sandwich at lunch time and two rounds of toast for tea.
I hardly recognised the tall, tanned, beardy, jetlagged young man who came through the Arrivals lounge ! After three months in NZ I'd forgotten what he looked like. The first thing he said when we got home was 'Ah there's nothing like your own toilet !'
Today
Breakfast : M*ller light yoghurt, banana
Lunch : Oatcakes, LF soft cheese and a sugar free jelly
Mid afternoon : Nuts
Evening meal : HM chicken curry and rice.
Half a pint of skimmed milk for drinks

Hugs xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Hi everyone, I have not posted for a few days but been plodding on.
Its my monthly blood pressure check and weigh in at the doctors today. I am hoping so much that the bp has come down so I can avoid having medication.
I know she will be impressed with a 1/2 stone loss so hopefully even if the bp has not come down by much she may hold off for another month with the pills.Life is not the way it’s supposed to be. It’s the way it is. The way you cope with it is what makes the difference.0 -

I went to try a combat fit class at my local gym yesterday. I was the only one who turned up - so it was like having a personal trainer. :cool2: Turns out combat fit is boxing by another name. :j I loved it!!! :j Who would have thought that!!!!!
But today. OMG. The muscles that are aching!! Above my boobs most, but arms - soooo painful driving on the school run. My stomach (why for boxing?) My legs!!! My neck, My back muscles, My shoulders.
Well I can understand my shoulders and arms being a bit surprised but all the other muscles? I must have done a full body workout and never even realised."Never ascribe to malice that which is adequately explained by incompetence."Weight loss challenge:j: week 1~ Napoleon Bonaparte

Afternoon all
I'm off work today to finish icing my friends' wedding cakes, thank goodness the morning sickness has passed or I don't know how I'd have managed! We're heading down to the wedding tomorrow afternoon, so I'll be AWOL until Sunday
Meals:
Breakfast: 2 slices toast, butter, 1oz red leicester
Lunch: jacket potato w/ cheese, mini mint magnum
Dinner: tortellini w/ cheese sauce and peas
Meals a bit random, need things I can prep and eat quickly. All cakes covered, and piping icing made up, just need to make my templates and get going with the decorations.Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160
