Good morning everyone :D Hope everyone is well.
Ragz it is a sts for me. Not surprised really. I have been unable to go swimming all week and had a few too many biccies. To compensate for not swimming I have been doing a bit of cycling and exercising indoors, I have started doing pushups and abdominal crunches every day, plus some work with dumbells [4.5 kgs] to tone up my biceps and triceps [trying to avoid the dreaded bingo wings], I am pleasantly surprised by how many reps I can do now. I feel I am getting much fitter and stronger.
I also got called 'skinny' last week [not in a rude way], so I guess I have come a long way.
Best of luck with the weighins and those who are finding it tough, don't give up. It really is worth the struggle.

Reporting Disaster so losing both my smilies :-( like lavenderbees work stressful (getting 2 lecturers replaced august 1st but one's been gone since jan and we were already down staff). I am a stress eater so really need to find a better way of dealing with the stress. Well down all of you losers (mean that in the nicest way :rotfl:)

I've had an email about graduation and I have to order my robes but I don't know what chest size to put down.

I've done from a size 20 to a current 14. Graduation is still 3 months away so I can probably lose at least a stone even though I tend to struggle with being at home.

Does anyone have any ideas? Should I just reduce my current chest size by a couple of inches?

Yes as they come up large and voluminous. They always keep spares anyway so will fit you up when you register on the day. I found them very unflattering so wear a bright dress under them x

Hi Ragz, despite the chips this week I have a 1lb loss to report.

I am going swimming today for the first time in years as the new costume is here. I look dreadful in it but it will do me good and hopefully motivate me to keep off the chips.

    Mornin' all

Thanks for the recipe Sparrer. I'll give that a go. It sounds delicious. After WI in this morning I'd like to report a 1lb loss. I seem to be OK on the food side at the moment (That could change !!) but I really need to be more active. If it ever stops raining I might try walking for half an hour after work.

    Today

Breakfast : Kiwi fruit and grapes, LF yoghurt

Lunch : Rice cakes with LF soft cheese and tomatoes, handful of nuts

Mid afternoon : Two jaffa cakes

Evening meal : Jacket potato with baked beans and hot dog sausages

Friday treat : FF greek yoghurt with honey

Plus half a pint of skimmed milk for drinks.

Does anyone else get a sore tongue when they eat kiwi fruit ? I get it with pineapple as well but not so bad.

So I’m afraid the SC will be going and I’ll get something more useful - like a juicer - to fill the space in the cupboard.

There's a good argument to be made that smoothies are better for you than juice - because you retain the fibre as well as the fructose. So if you've got a blender or food processer you could save some pennies and use that instead?

I do but only if I eat a lot of pineapple, don't get anything from kiwis but... do you get any itching, burning, tightness in the throat as well, if so then worth seeing your GP and asking about oral allergy syndrome, I know kiwis can be a trigger.

Ragz, I'd like to report a 4lb loss, so total of 5 so far - I can see that 14 and a half stone mark on the scales coming into view... and I'm wearing those size 16 jeans :D

Sorry, just been too busy/stressed/fed up to post.
I'm also eating too much...without a doubt, to try to compensate for the stress.

I know exactly how you feel!

Moving in two weeks, which on top of the emotional issues I am currently getting with my thyroid problem I am just too stressed to do this or any exercises (or the Grocery Challenge) at the moment.
I am still reading posts and will keep on top of the challenge.

Well done to everyone declaring a loss today, I have managed to STS (no idea how).

    Morning all :)

Please would you put me down for a 1lb loss this week, ragz. Think it's a fluke as I've been eating a panini for tea instead of crackerbread but I know sometimes a small change can make a bit of difference. Will see what happens this week as I've still got some in the freezer.

    B - Spicy fruity porridge
D - Cumberland sausage, tomato, onions, mushrooms, egg, slice toasted WW Danish. Apple
T - Panini spread w/ff yogurt, 1 side rf philly and scrape of Br@nston, I side marmalade
    S - Banana, melon, kiwi
E - 20 mins this morning before the gas man cometh, plan another 15 mins this pm

Had to have a little word with Him this morning, was preparing to plant some bedding plants when it started to rain. I told Him I really do think that's enough now, thank you ;)

    Have a dry day :)
