Afternoon everyone
Finally did my WI for the start of the challenge. Looks like I gained 2lb over Easter - so avoiding chocolate was a waste of effort
This makes my starting weight for the new challenge 13 stone 6. Still I checked this on the BBC BMI calculator and if I can get to 12 stone 12 I'll be in the normal weight range for my height, so if i can do the full 11lbs of my target I would also have a wee buffer to keep me there.savesummore wrote: »Evening all,
Oh dear ive not had a good day
I feel really run down and didnt sleep well lastnight and today I have a sore throat
I have been out on the road today so had a pub meal with a collegue and i shall say this really quietly I had burger and chips and a britvic 55 (not even a diet drink!!) Ive also had a couple of throat sweets which are just even more calories!!
With a bit of luck your body will use the extra calories to fight the bug. I think iron in the burger and Vit C in the britvic will have helped your immune system. You could also ease your throat with salt water gargles (lo-cal option)...
or a hot todday - much more fun
Aldahbra - enjoy your DD's celebrations. She'll grow up fast. You could have some nice veggies with the scampi and not help yourself to the chips. And have some fruit with only one scoop of ice-cream. Then you could be too full for cake, and have a wee slice tomorrow.
LavenderBees good luck with the early start. Hope you've got some healthy snacks to take on the trip - I always feel extra hungry when I'm short on sleep. No matter how hard I try going to be early the night before never quite happens.
As for not talking too much - we never talk too much, just the right amount :rotfl:
Today's eats so far:
B - slept through it
L - sardines on toast, fruit juice
Snack - 12 olives and 4 baby plum tomatoes to try and catch up on five a day
D - HM tapas, using lots of lovely veggies from last nights shopping spree in our newly refurnished local supermarket
Might have a wee glass of wine
I'm expecting to STS between today and tomorrow, but I'm wishing you all a good result and I'll be popping in to admire the progress. Hopefully over the next week I can start to reduce too.

Sorry I've been awol, we are moving in 3 weeks been doing paperwork and generally stressing!
Had Yoga class today which was good, can't swim tonight as my MOT ran out last week so I can't use the car - whoops! Someone should send reminders for that!
Was ill yesterday so didn't eat a lot and have managed to be pretty good today so hoping a pound may have come off tomorrow. 2lb lighter this morning but only from not eating/drinking much at all yesterday so I am not hoping that will stay!June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

Exercise: Walk to work and back. I was meant to be running but it poured it down all the time I could have gone
Today

Hi Live Within Ma Means:j
Welcome - we are a very friendly Old Style bunch. We are all organised by Ragz (thank you Ragz:T:T:T) so she will add your name to the list. If you post your goal (sensible and healthy weight loss) for this challenge, which i think is running to the summer solstice. We tend to weigh in on a Friday but that is flexible and post your loss (or whatever:o) in red so Ragz can collate it. Simples :T:T:T
Ok well I have realised that I am probably doing battle with "The Witch" so will not be declaring a weight this week:eek::eek::eek:. Good Luck xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Morning everyone
Ragz I would like to report a 3 pound loss. :j
As you can imagine I am very happy with this one! I knew I had lost this week, I just felt thinner. It's funny how I am getting more 'in tune' with my body now.
I haven't decided on my meal plans yet [apart from my porridge] but will ensure they are healthy.
Exercise - will be cycling and a bit of a workout indoors.
Best of luck everyone! Hope everyone is happy with their results!0 -
Well done JDB!!! :j
Im actually happy to report a STS this week!! Its not been a great week I have felt run down all week and have woken up with a stinking cold this morning
My plan is to somehow drag myself through the day at work and then fall in a heap once home!
Does anyone have any tips please- I have frozen pollock in the freezer but not sure what to do with it/ how to cook it! Should I wrap in a foil parcel with a knob of butter or something? Help Im rubbish at cooking :rotfl:
