Had a nightmare yesterday - came back from the gym after a 5k run (good), and was so hungry I scoffed half a pot of cottage cheese before dinner (bad) and yet was still able to eat a massive portion of dinner (also bad).... :naughty:

Me too I was so hungry that I ate my sons packed lunch left overs that had been in his lunch box all day. Ugg.

You are right though I think it will be necessary to plan a healthy snack for just before I get the kids dinner

I can't get out of the habit of weighing myself daily and it sets the scene for the day. If I have put on weight I feel down throughout the day and if I have lost it, I am much more positive and have a more successful time. Today I am two pounds less than yesterday so no prizes for guessing my mood! I will attempt to wean myself off this constant weighing, but it's not easy!

I'm weighing myself daily. If I don't I "forget" to diet. I don't get upset by putting on up to 2lb in a day that is just natural variation but if it were two days running then I'd know I was doing something which needed changing.

LavenderBees - I wondered if your neighbour has misunderstood you. When you said you were cutting back on food maybe she thought you couldn't afford it.

I've got some left over pork which I'm going to have to make up somehow for dinner tonight. Not sure what to do with it. Last night I cooked it up in gravy which was really nice. Got some of the gravy left but didn't want to do the same thing again.

Very late g'morning all, got carried away with housework (those nice young men in their clean white coats will be coming to take me away shortly) and have just sat down

    B - porridge
D - 1/2 a rather big jacket with prawns & philly light. Apple
T - 3 crackerbread with philly, marmite, marmalade
    S - melon, banana, grapes
    E - 15 mins plus 3 hours housework

Just looked out of the window - oh good, it's raining, that'll save me having to water the quagmire :rotfl:

Afternoon everyone, hope everyone is well.
I am feeling very motivated today so I thought I would post. I have already been swimming, I managed to get my 60 lengths in, even though there were no lanes. I might go again tomorrow, if not I will spend an hour doing something else.
    Meal plans -
B - porridge with dried fruit
L - lentil and veg stew, wholemeal bap
D- wholemeal pitta, halloumi light, tatziki and tomatoes
S's -fruit. Maybe 1 of those big soft cookies [125 calories]
    Good luck everyone!

Didn't get chance to post yesterday as my Gran was taken into hospital to have a heart operation and is now in intensive care. Didn't really know what to do with myself and didn't really feel like logging on.

    Yesterdays food was:

    B Multigrain Hoops with milk
    S - Soya hot chocolate
L - HM rice and lentil cakes with HM salsa and salad, Low fat yogurt with honey
S special K bar and apple
D Baked polenta with veg, and quorn in a tomatoey sauce, mini soda bread with peanut butter

Exercise - 15mins X trainer and hour step class

Have been having a bit of an off day today with worrying about my Gran. Have given in and had chocolate that colleague gave me. A little annoyed with myself as it's not something that I really thought about going to get but they just came back from the shop with some to try and cheer me up and I ate it. Sad thing is I now feel even more fed up for having it when I really know I shouldn't have :o will post up today's food after have had tea tonight.

Hope you're all having a good day and the rain isn't getting you down.

Tink - Sorry to hear about your Gran. Sending healing vibes x
Now dont beat yourself up about a bar of chocolate - it was medicinal under the circumstances and you would have burnt it off in nervous energy. Hugs to you xx
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

No, I'm sure not - I told her I needed to stop eating like a pig, so was cutting down :rotfl:. No room for ambiguity there.
It's also no coincidence, methinks, that she saw me at the weekend, commented with surprise that I'd lost a load of weight, and she was going to cut down...since then, no unwanted treats.
Hmmm.... might post a packet of biscuits through her letter box....:rotfl:

ETA - Big hugs for Tink, hope you get some good news about your gran soon. It's awful waiting for news. Hugs to everyone else, too. Well why not...we all need them for one reason or another. Take care. xx
