Morning,
Tink, hope your Gran is on the mend :grouphug:.
Had a lovely day yesterday and must have walked a good three to four miles around town checking out all the shops. Budget-wise I suppose you could say it was successful, other than paying for my haircut I didn’t spend anything – but the search for shoes goes on, everything was either too high or too low – what’s happened to the mid-height heel? I’m not about to start tottering around on 3-4 inch heels at my age nor am I going to revisit the platform shoe ….did them first time around
With the amount of hair that was cut off I should’ve lost a few ounces, although it’s only 8 weeks since the last cut, my hairdresser asked what I’m eating to make it grow so quickly :rotfl: - must be all the fruit and veg I’m consuming, I’ve certainly noticed the effect on my skin but then again the healthy glow may be a result of the couple of G&T’s I had last night :shhh:
Today’s menu =
B – Fruit salad, yoghurt
L – Soup
D - Steamed Fish, green beans, broad beans & sweetcornJan - June Grocery spends = £531.61
July - Grocery spends = £119.54
Aug - Grocery spends = £42.190 -

I feel really run down and didnt sleep well lastnight and today I have a sore throat
Im not hopeful for weigh in...........................
It is really hard to diet when you are feeling poorly. I hope you feel better soon. Don't give up there is still another day before weigh in and you could do some damage limitation between now and then.LavenderBees wrote: »No, I'm sure not - I told her I needed to stop eating like a pig, so was cutting down :rotfl:. No room for ambiguity there. It's also no coincidence, methinks, that she saw me at the weekend, commented with surprise that I'd lost a load of weight, and she was going to cut down...since then, no unwanted treats.
That is really shocking, she is no friend of yours!!:eek:Hmmm.... might post a packet of biscuits through her letter box....:rotfl:/LEFT]
ha ha don't blame you.
This must be the wettest drought on record !
Shame we didn't know in October that to make it rain was to impose a hosepipe ban.Yesterday someone stuck a plate of chocolate biscuits under my nose and I actually refused !!
Well done. How did you do it?

Today is going to be tough it is my DD birthday and she wanted pains aux chocolate for breakfast. I've already eaten one of those, can't undo that. Dinner she wants scampi and home made chips followed by chocolate ice cream with sprinkles and of course birthday cake.
How can I make a diet version of that for me?"Never ascribe to malice that which is adequately explained by incompetence."Weight loss challenge:j: week 1~ Napoleon Bonaparte

Tink, thoughts are with you. I am really close to my Gran and would be devastated if anything happened to her so can't imagine how you must be feeling.
Well yesterday was going well until dinner when I made a tart with jus rol pastry. I honestly didn't realise how bad it was! By the time I realised how many calories were in a sheet, it was already in the oven so we ate it and it was lovely, but not filling at all. So last night OH and I also had a slice of cheese on toast! Any we never have supper! At least the 2 slices of cheesecake in the fridge live to see another day. I hear jus rol are now doing a reduced fat version which I will try as it's so handy to have.
Today:
B: cereal bar, banana
L: tin of ww soup, dry white roll, 2 lf choc moussesrisotto stuffed peppers
Snacks: a ww caramel waver (was really tasty!), plums, grapes
How is everyone today?xx0 -
That is really shocking, she is no friend of yours!!
Nah! Just thoughtless. Honestly if I stopped being friends with everyone who wants to fatten me up, I'd be pretty bloomin lonely :rotfl:
I recommend small portions of what the birthday girl wants - as small as you can get away with...oh....and eat slowly, so your brain has time to register that your stomach has been fed. That should do it.
Won't be logging on tomorrow as up at 4am (I feel sick at the thought), so hope you all have a good WI day, and enjoy your weekends. Try not to talk a lot so I don't have too much reading when I get back on Sunday.

I've had a read of what some people are saying about sabotage from friends/family - people really can be surprising! You'd think people would be pleased that you're making the effort to get healthier and feel better about yourself, but they instead feel threatened/forced to look at their own lifestyles and become negative about the weight loss.
I sometimes get told - oh why are you watching what you eat/why aren't you having any chocolate/go on, treat yourself! because I'm not exactly obese, just chubs and heavy, but they don't realise it's incredibly hard work for me to keep my weight under control, and besides, I want to be healthy as well as lose weight!! Soooo frustrating.:mad:0 -

No such luck with that, we're all very dedicated posters! You'll need to reserve a good hour or so to wade through the WI day posts on Sunday!:)0 -
Good afternoon everyone.
Another good motivated day for me, so feeling hopeful for the weighin tomorrow morning.
My meal plans are -
B - porridge with dried fruit
L - wholemeal pitta, LF greek salad
D- cheese omelette, broccoli, peas
S's - yoghurt, fruit, a couple of malted milk biscuits
Exercise - 30 minutes bike ride. I am also going to start doing some abdominal crunches, I am not happy with my waist. I seem to be losing weight from other areas much quicker.
Last night I was feeling a bit bored so I got the old wii fit out and did 30 minutes or so. Nothing too strenuous, but it beats sitting on the settee. I might do the same again tonight.
Best of luck for the rest of the day, and fingers crossed for the weigh ins tomorrow.0 -
Afternoon all
b- porridge
d- 1/2 jacket with rf philly & prawns. Apple
t - salmon fillet in a parcel with red onions, peppers, rf philly (got to use it up, it usually sits at the back of the fridge til it's wearing a green fluffy coat)
s - melon, banana, grapes, pear
e - 2 1/2 hours of the usual, so right now I'm heading for a siesta
Have a good rest of the day0
