Snack: babybel, rich tea biscuits, apple, satsumas (as required)
Dinner: not planned yet, but fancy sausage and mash.Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -

Need2b- I read a quote once that said as you age you have to choose between your a** and your face!! i.e a bit bigger bum is kinda on your face as the extra weight smooths out the lines :rotfl:
No problems with the bum as yet, other than it is starting to slide down the back of my legs:rotfl::rotfl:Mind you I do moisturise it faithfully every day - my face that is, not my bum :rotfl:

Civilised? Are you sure? :rotfl:I'm just a poor country girl....I don't know what to expect in the big city....:rotfl:
It's really hard when you're buying clothes, isn't it? I try not to look at sizes most of the time. They differ so much from style to style, shop to shop. The discussion the other day about sizes being larger than in the past quite depressed me:rotfl:
I thought I was doing so well to be almost able to wear size 12 trousers (fit fine, can even sit down in them, but the material still looks a little stret.....ch....ed for my liking :rotfl:), but clearly, though I'm almost a size 12 nowadays, I'm still really a bloomin heffalump compared to the past

Need2bThrifty - Yes, arancini is just that, you can add ragu to it as well. Although they are apparently notoriously hard to make!
Also, I noticed you've put liver on your food diary. Do you normally stir fry it? I wanted to buy some as it's so cheap for meat but I'm a bit scared of what to do with it (apart from fry it with onions, like when I had it as a child). What flavours go well with liver?
Trying to save up my calories as I have 2 restaurant dinners coming up this week (birthday and old friend catch up). I know I won't let myself pay £8 or so for a Nicoise salad so trying to be super good for the rest of my week's meals.:o
Had a nightmare yesterday - came back from the gym after a 5k run (good), and was so hungry I scoffed half a pot of cottage cheese before dinner (bad) and yet was still able to eat a massive portion of dinner (also bad)....
Any ideas on how to hold off the pre-dinner hunger anyone? I'm thinking maybe have a small glass of s/s milk and an apple.  :think:0 -

Years ago, I was a member of a SW class, and we were warned continuously that others (friends/other halfs etc) would do this kind of thing - sometimes it is well meaning (a treat that's offered), other times it is downright sabotage (they feel threatened by the new focused you that is emerging). Tread warily is my advice. Perhaps explain that you already have plans, but maybe at the weekend a treat would be nice...
It's a difficult one though. My neighbour & friend has been bringing round treats for weeks, and I don't think it's a coincidence that it started when I said I was cutting down. I think some people just can't help themselves. I've tried saying no thanks, but I got the feeling that she wasn't happy with me being assertive
, so I'm now taking what is offered and it's all gone in the freezer (even though I really don't want any of it). This keeps us both happy-ish, though I'd rather she just didn't try sabotaging my efforts to make myself happier.
I often think it's best just not to mention anything to anyone, and then they just don't notice...:)
