Feel very uncomfortable. It isn't normal (thank goodness!) was just invited out two days running. Yesterday I had no choice but I made terrible choices today. Will be pleased to get back to proper menu's for the rest of the week, and have the Big Exercise Class twice to help work some of it off
Night all, sleep well0 -
Morning all,
couldn't log on most of yesterday...the site just kept hangng up on me...felt like I'd lost the use of my right arm :rotfl:
Had a goodish day yesterday - it makes such a difference to not have chocolate in the house. I'm sure if there had been, I'd have been reporting another naughty day, but I'm not...!:A Well, I did have 2 yorky puds with my dinner...cos they kept falling out of the freezer...hurling themselves at me, they were...:rotfl:
Today's plan -
Brekkie - hm muesli
Lunch - salad, lentil & sweet potato pate, small slice of hm bread,
Fruit - banana, tangerines x 2 to be eaten as & when during the day
Dinner - LO Roast chicken dinner, mostly veges
Exercise - probably just my fingers on the bloomin keyboard at work.
Treats - not planning any
Happy Monday () Everyone. I'm sure someone somewhere enjoys Mondays...Is it you?

Morning everyone! Here is hoping for a good week.
I have run into a slight difficulty this week. My local swimming pool has closed for refurbishment, the other ,further away one, is rubbish [far too busy to get a decent swim]. Today I am trying another one and if this one doesn't work out then I will have to come up with a different plan for exercising.
There are some great recipes on this thread . I would love to try rosewoods recipe for lemon curd but it is just too tempting. I just love anything lemony and I would scoff the whole lot in one go.
I'm not sure about my menu plans for the day, but I know I have to be a lot more self disciplined if I want to carry on losing weight.
Best of luck everyone. Have a happy healthy day.0 -
Morning everyone.Sorry i disappeared over the weekend. Hope everyone had a nice time.
Didn't do to badly. I went to a course on sat and had 4 biscuits and yesterday was my nephews birthday so had some cake.
I have found my problem with sugar. If i eat a full sandwich at lunch rather than half, then i don't crave the sugar and am full till dinner time.
I try and cut calories but eating less meals but then i end up starving and reach for the choccie.
today menu.
B: oats
L: sandwichmash potato, chicken and peas.
S: yogurt as im out of fruit.
have a good day x
oh forgot to say i have also been trying to up my water intake which i think is helping.Comping for christmas xThankyou to all posters0 -
Morning all.Hope you had a lovely weekend.
Need2bthrifty - How very productive of you using both those recipes! Yes, I did get the falafel patties idea from BBC Good Food (such a great website), but the beauty of them is you can chuck anything you like in, especially stuff that's past its prime, and they still usually taste good.
Rose Wood - you're so right about vanity sizing. I'm a size 10 on bottom (when I'm having a good day), but I remember trying to get into my mum's old skirt from the 70's, which was a size 14, and it wouldn't even go over my hips.
It makes me think all this fuss over size "0" is such a fallacy - clothing sizes really have got much larger over the years.0 -
Mornin' all
The weekend was a bit up and down. Didn't do a 'proper' Sunday lunch yesterday so I haven't got the usual leftovers for tonights tea. I need to cook something quick as I'm shooting virtually straight out again. I've got sausages so it might be a sausage sandwich.
I was a lot more active over the weekend. I sit down 9 - 5 during the week as I'm a Library cataloguer which is a desk based job. My backside has expanded since I've been doing the job but I was warned when I started that I would get Cataloguers A*se !!!
Today
Breakfast : Grapes, Pear and LF plain yoghurt
Lunch : Rice cakes with LF soft cheese mixed with a tsp of mango chutney, Sugar free jelly
Mid afternoon : One rich tea biscuit
Evening meal : Sausage sandwich ?
Plus half a pint of skimmed milk for drinks

I've taken the weekend off exercise. My "run" on friday was more like a 3.4 mile walk with the occasional 1 minuet of jog like run. But still it is a start.
Done 45 mins of squats and lunges etc this morning
Breakfast Cereals, lunch an old meal replacement shake found in cupboard -Dinner going to be the roast pork that hadn't defrosted properly for sunday lunch. I'm going to try Dry Roast potatoes and plenty of veg."Never ascribe to malice that which is adequately explained by incompetence."Weight loss challenge:j: week 1~ Napoleon Bonaparte

Afternoon All
I'm having a quick early lunch and a sit down as DS has just rung and asked me to have DGD for a couple of hours from 12.30. I had thought about going swimming but would much rather have her instead. I have been out running this morning anyhow so have had some exercise.
B: 2 boiled eggs mashed up with salt, pepper and a little butter.
L: HM smoked mackerel pate on 2 ryvitas with a tomato. Piece of CamembertPoached salmon with a stir fry of egg noodles, mushrooms, pepper, garlic and onions. Raspberries with Greek yoghurt
Exercise. 4 x 1km timed runs. Walk to and from running of about 4 miles. I shall probably have another walk with DGD up to the bank when she gets here and a walk to work later so another 1-2 miles.

Hi all,
Rosewood – I think I was having a bit of a size envy moment, being 5ft 6in, medium frame, I don’t think I have ever had a size 6 in my wardrobe, even as a child/early teen I was a bit chunky and didn’t slim down until I left school and started college/working.
After bravely battled thro using up the scanky feta type cheese, decided I deserve a treat. I had noticed on some of the menu/grocery threads that someone had done Scotch Eggs, I’m not particularly keen on the sausage meat ones but I remembered the cheesy ones that were dished up to us for school dinners in the early 70’s, I remember them being so tasty and when you cut into them the melted cheese oozed out. I couldn’t find a clear recipe on t’internet but found something on another cookery forum that gave me an idea to try out.
Menu for the day =
B – Porridge, stewed rhubarb
L – l/o Spinach & feta pastry, tom sauce
D - Cheesy Scotch Egg :T, saladJan - June Grocery spends = £531.61
July - Grocery spends = £119.54
Aug - Grocery spends = £42.190
