    Morning, everyone!

    hmmm...guess what....grey and raining here again today...

Managed to fit in a walk yesterday (about 3 miles), dodging the heavy showers, so better than nothing. I also really enjoyed my greek salad, with chicken and lentil pate - absolutely delish. But I didn't really need the beans, artichoke hearts, blue cheese/goats cheese, so instead of stuffing them down me, I put them away for another day :T

I'm conscious that I haven't been eating enough fruit, so when I went shopping yesterday in Waitr0se for veges and salad stuff (1/3 off all essentials fruit/vege and salad stuff), I bought bananas and little tangerines)

    Today's plan -

    Cuppa and 3 little tangerines

Brekkie will be a brunch - bacon & tomato sandwich (single rasher of bacon, hm bread)

Dinner - will be roast chicken (lemon), carrots, curly kale, and garlic "roast" potatoes (without the fat)...I expect this to last me all week...so I'm going to be very repetitive.... :rotfl:

If I need a snack, I'll try to make it a banana...

Exercise - didn't do any housework yesterday (walked instead), so must do that this morning, hopefully will manage to get a walk in if the rain goes away. I'm just watching the London marathon programme, and it's GORGEOUS in London. It's SO NOT FAIR!

Treats - I only had one (large) glass of wine last night, so plenty left for today :T

Have a good Sunday everyone :A.

    S xx

    Gaaaah:eek::eek::eek:

A really, really stressful morning and overnight I managed to gain 2lbs:cry::sad::shocked:

So I know I should not do a sneaky weigh in but somedays I just cant help myself. So here is the reasons why weight fluctuates or at least this is what I keep telling myself this morning x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Having a bit of a quiet day today. I've hurt my knee and been told that I should just rest it for a few days but I've spent all morning doing nothing and now I'm bored!! :( Thinking I might try and do a little bit in the garden and try not too do anything that's going to put too much stress on it.

I said a couple of days ago I'd put up the banana fritters recipe I used earlier in the week...

    Banana Fritters

    makes about 20

    1 egg
    250ml low fat natural yogurt
    1 teaspoon honey
    113g plain flour
    1/2 tbsp baking powder
    pinch of salt
    2 ripe bananas mashed

Sieve together flour baking powder and salt, mix in the egg, yogurt and honey. When starts for form a batter add in mashed bananas and mix well.

Add about a teaspoon of oil to non stick frying pan on a meduim heat and when hot spoon in the mixture. Cook until bubbles start to appear and then flip and cook on the other side.

We find with ours we need to turn the heat down after the first batch as the pan can get a bit too warm and they start to burn before they're cooked through properly. They go really well with a drizzle on honey and some low fat creme fresh. :p

    Afternoon Folks,

What a day here, we’ve had soft rain, heavy rain, hail and some sunny spells = typical Scottish weather, so I spent most of the morning lazing around in my PJ's. It now appears to have dried up for a bit so going to take the chance to get washing out for a bit – I doubt it will dry much but fingers crossed.

I had some of the falafel patties for lunch and really enjoyed them (never tasted them before) also had some hm hummus & tzatziki – I was a bit heavy handed with the garlic so that should keep the vampires and everyone else away for a while :p.

Planning the suggested spinach and feta parcels for dinner and will make some tomato sauce to go with them; leftover sauce will then do for some pasta dish tomorrow.

Hope you are all having a nice relaxing Sunday.

    Afternoon All

I am having a pleasant afternoon in the kitchen but thought I'd sit down for a rest. I've got stew bubbling away ready for tonight's meal as DS requested it with lots of dumplings. It's the right sort of weather for it anyway. I've also made butterfly buns and currant buns, but only enough for one each for DS and DDiL and two for DH. That way I can't be tempted to have one, though I have scraped the bowls out!

savesummore I make my lemon curd in the microwave and it takes literally minutes. If you are careful it doesn't curdle, but if it does put it through a sieve as you put it into the jars. If I have done it right you should be able to link through to a recipe.

Needtobethrifty I am not that petite and certainly didn't feel so with the large bulge over the top of the size 6 trousers I managed to fasten!! I do have slimmish hips and am only 5 foot tall though. Mind you I think sizes are much bigger these days. I have a pair of size 12 Next jeans that are about 15 years old and they fit me very snugly.

    B: 2 egg prawn omelette
L: Toasted goats cheese salad with pickled beetroot and tomatoes.
    D: Stew and dumplings
    Snacks: Cake bowls scraped out.

Exercise : 2 walks to the shop but nothing else though if the rain holds off I may try an evening walk if my friend wants to go out later.

    Rose

ETA: I did get out for a walk so did 6 miles. I treated myself to a snack when I got in though, but nothing too naughty as I had a pot of cottage cheese with a couple of pickled onions to take away the blandness.

Molly41 - I rather think you have put on the 2lb I lost overnight! It is just amazing how much fluctuation there is on a day to day basis. Up until I started this challenge two weeks ago I counted my weight loss from Sunday to Sunday, and I think as I sit on my backside at work all week, the only opportunity I have to move around etc. is over the weekend, and that may explain things!
