Another for the 1lb loss club here!
Rosewood - well done you, I am so pleased for you! After all that running/walking and eating well you deserved a good loss. I wish I had your commitment!
Savesummore - that's a fab loss, well done!
Aldahbra - impressive first week, I was a little dubious of your 2 stone target but you are almost a quarter of the way there already!
Magical - drinking water will make little difference to fat loss, but it WILL help prevent water retention, which in turn will mean you weigh less. Also, we often eat when actually we are thirsty, so if you drink plenty you should snack less and if you drink a glass of water before your meals you will eat less too. I lost more weight when I drank a few bottles of water a day, really need to get back in that habit!

I did 60 lengths at the pool last night, 50 minutes. But then I had bread with cheese and coleslaw and some malt loaf when I get home!

    Breakfast - malt loaf
Snacks - banana, 2 and a half scones, with jam... (I promised myself I would have ONE!
Lunch - soup, was going to have some of the bread I baked but after the scones I really shouldn't.
Dinner - chicken, salad, coleslaw, a few new potatoes and peas.

    Morning all :)

A 2lb loss for me, please ragz :). Obviously running out of grapes is a good thing - can't think of anything else I've done differently, and have to admit to pigging on them when they're in the house

    B - spicy fruity porridge
D - pasta 'carbonara', my version with the lean part of 2 rashers, chopped mushrooms, ff yogurt (just heated through at the end otherwise it splits) and a grating of rf cheese on top
T - 3 crackerbread spread w/ff yogurt, toppings as usual
S - no fruit  so maybe a bowl of dry F&F to pick at through the day - if I really need to ;)
E - looking bright out there so will try to get out do do a bit of gardening, otherwise 15 mins usual exercise

Hope it's a bright day for you too :)

eta just read back over the posts, WOW some good losses! And as LavenderBees says STS isn't a bad thing either. Just keep plodding on and you'll get there :D

Honestly, can you tell it's Friday, and despite the constant rain (!), I'm feeling all motivated and motivational. Go me! :A

But just wanted to pop on to mention to those who feel a little downheartened by today's results, that the weight is just one part of the picture. If you are generally eating better, making more informed choices, maybe doing a bit more exercise, then that is all to the good, and you should be proud that you're making an effort to be healthier regardless of what the scales say.

And if you (we) keep it up, we will see healthy body changes/ability to dress in lower sizes/ability to display flesh when the sun shines (oo er, missus) etc etc

    So, keep it up!

    LB xx

LavenderBees - a big thank you for your post, it really cheered me up :) I've been feeling pretty fed up by the lack of results on the scales but your post has made me feel a more positive about things :j I took some measurements when I started back in January and haven't re-done them since. Think I'll try and re-do them over the weekend and see if I've lost any cm if not lbs!

You can all giggle, after my huge success over the last challenge, I've put on 2lb over Easter! Hopefully that'll be coming off pretty quickly!

A measly 1 lb for me again this week. It's extraordinary that for weeks and weeks I had a consistent 2lb/week weight loss and then suddenly it's down to a pound since I have joined this challenge! I must get more active and try and get some regular exercise as I lead such a sedentary life on the whole. Still, it's still something and it's going the right way, it just seems so long-term when it slows down like this. I hope you all manage to do better!

Congratulations to all those with a weight loss this week:j:j Well done!

I have a 1lb loss to report today. Not as much as I hoped but at least it was a loss and not a gain which is what I was expecting!

    Food for today
    B-Porridge and a pear
    L-Veg soup, slice of bread
    D-chickpea casserole

Snacks, Apple, half a crunchie, 1 meringue nest
    Summer weightloss challenge
    Aim to lose 10lbs:)

Thanks LavenderBees for your wise words. It is easy to forget you've made changes for the good and your body is still benefitting when you can't see a difference on the scales.:o

No luck with being able to fit into my old Size 8/10 clothes though - I tried on a pair of jeans I used to wear and I swear it was like trying to get into a Babygro!:D

At least it's a big incentive to get healthier and keep on track when 65% of your wardrobe doesn't fit you and you certainly can't afford to buy new clothes!!
    :)
