I have not been writing down my meals for the last couple of days but have been doing ok. I am now getting used to the low salt and fat the doctor has ordered for me.

It is a week now since she gave me my reults from the tests and said I had to lose weight and on weighing myself today I am 1kg down so now 76kg :j

    Mornin' all

I went to my parents for evening meal yesterday and it was sausage and mash with broccolli which wouldn't have been to bad if they hadn't produced a M&S buttercream victoria sponge afterwards. I could have refused a piece but I didn't !!

    Today
Breakfast : LF fruit yoghurt, banana

Lunch : HM vegetable soup, Sugar free jelly

Mid afternoon : Two Rich Tea biscuits

Evening meal : Apple and bacon oven pancake, salad

Mid evening : Two jaffa cakes

Plus half a pint of skimmed milk for drinks

WI tomorrow. Good luck everyone !

Thanks LB, I'm one of those who's been in the doldrums and need snap out of it now! Think it's because I can't get into the garden, there's no other reason for me to be gloomy. Silly, huh?

Post-holiday blues, maybe, I know I get them.

Its another miserable wet day here and after spending a couple of days cleaning & painting I need to get out of the house, think a bit of controlled retail therapy is called for. It may end up being just a bit of window shopping (building on my wish-list) or a rummage in the charity shops cause funds are a bit low this month.

Food-wise I’m beginning to feel that I’ve cracked it and don’t feel deprived at all, I suppose I’m lucky in not having a particularly sweet tooth and rarely ever have pudding/desserts, fruit satisfies me on that front. Savoury snacks, crisps & peanuts were my downfall but I haven’t bought any of these for months :T. I was getting a bit bored of salads but since I started adding things like fruit, sprouted seeds and herbs I’m loving them again :j. I had also gotten in a rut with the meals I cooked but now I’m regularly on the BBC Good Food website for inspiration and trying something new, especially vegetarian dishes.

Sorry to hear that some of you are having a bit of a difficult, stressful time, I hope things improve for you soon.

Anyway enough waffle from me – todays menu =
    B – F&F, stewed rhubarb, ss milk
    L – Beans on Toast
D – Roast Chicken, coleslaw, rice salad, beetroot salad.

    Hi

I'm overweight, unfit, out of work and fed up with it. :( Things have got to change!!!!!

I've stumbled across this thread this morning and thought it might be just the thing to help get me going. I'll admit I've not read everything there's pages and pages of it, but what I've seen looks useful. So I'd like to join in please.

I would like to join the summer challenge, If I am not too late, please put me down for 2 stone. I know this is a lot but I started dieting last week and I think I will have a big total for the first two weeks, then it will slow down of course.

Aldahbra - welcome to the thread, I have added you to the challenge.

I am feeling a little better today, PMT is easing off I think!
Went to my first Yoga class, bit too easy for me really, the only bit I found hard was standing still! But it was nice to relax and I feel better for it, I will probably ache tomorrow as although it didn't feel like I was doing anything, I probably was. Swimming tonight too, hopefully.

Breakfast - 2 crumpets with honey and a few spoonfuls of pasta and pesto I was doing for kids packed lunches!
Snack - attempted to eat a banana I bought from tesco but only managed two bites as it was horrible!
Lunch - Creamy veg soup followed by a hot cross bun with what MIL assured me was 'lighter' butter
Snack - MIL 'made' me eat a choc mini roll. Grapes.
Dinner - Beef casserole, new potatoes and veg.
    Snacks -
June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500
    2 adults, 3 teens
Progress is easier to acheive than perfection.

    Hi all, just checking in.

B: Banana, orange juice and 7 almonds
L: Oatcakes with houmous, small handful of nuts
D: HM Falafel loaf (massive fail, they were meant to be burgers) with salad and a naan bread.
S: cottage cheese, apple, sneaky piece of feta cheese.

Hmm not great. But the week hasn't been bad and I've been back in the gym a lot so hopefully weigh in tomorrow will be ok.

Is anyone else keeping their body measurements during the challenge? I am, I find it really motivating.
    :)
