Just a quick post, food for today has been...

B - Greek yogurt with squeeze of honey, blueberries and small handful of branflakes
L - Poached egg, baked beans and toasted soda bread
D - HM Mango, chickpea and butternut squash curry with a coriander cheela (a funny pancake type thing!), HM Banana fritter done in fry light with teaspoon of creme fresh and a drizzle of the syrup from the tin the mango came in :o

Treat - A half at the pub on the way home from our evening walk

Excercise - 30 mins walk in the rain, 10 min wrestling fallen branches to take home to make a tipi for the squashes to grow up! :p

Feeling a little nervous about the WI tomorrow. Think I've had a pretty good week and really hope I've lost. I've been getting really fed up of so many weeks of staying the same  it'd be nice to seem the numbers finally changing!

    Evening All

It's been a long day - starting with being up at 6 because I was babysitting DGD from 7 and ending up with an evening at work covering for DDiL, from which I am only just home. I had a lovely time as usual with DGD though so it was well worth it.

B: 2 boiled eggs mashed with salt and pepper
L: 1/3 Margarita pizza (shared with DGD) Raspberries with Greek yoghurt.
D: Grilled fish with tomatoes and mushrooms - and caramelized onion which I'd cooked thinking I'd got a pork steak out of the freezer not a piece of fish. 1/2 Eccles cake.

Exercise: 3 miles of walking - one mile of which was at a 2 year old's pace. 10 minutes of exercise DVD which I didn't get through as DGD woke up before I'd finished.

A further 1lb loss to declare here! :A Chuffed to bits as all week I've been the same weight so it was an unexpected surprise to see the scales move this morning! :T

Got to keep it going, but typically, I'm immediately thinking of what treats I can have this weekend! Honestly, I despair of myself :o . I'm not going shopping tonight to break this Friday night must buy treats habit I have.

    So, today's plan is -

    Brekkie - hm muesli
Lunch - Egg salad in hm bun (another strange shape, delish though)
Dinner - Lentil curry out of freezer

Exercise - unlikely as is still bloomin raining. I think it's pretty much rained all week. Poor kitten loves going out and bounces to the door every morning with tail held high in excitement, and every morning, his little tail droops when he sees the rain...again. I know exactly how he feels :( .

Treats - will try to confine treats to Saturday evening only, but it is Friday, and I've survived a horrendously busy week at work, so I'm having a small packet of crisps with my sandwich at lunchtime. No alcohol or chocolates today though.

Hope everyone else's weigh in goes well today.

    LB xx

    Morning All

Well I am absolutely delighted to report that I have lost 4lbs. The kickstart to the new challenge I gave myself by giving up bread and potatoes for the first week has obviously worked to great effect, though it has meant trying to think of possible meals, especially breakfast, has been harder. I also restarted doing a DVD most mornings and managed a few evening walks so I intend to carry on with that. I think I may try another week without bread but allow myself the odd wrap if stumped for a lunch and also am going to treat myself to HM egg and chips for tea.

I hope everyone else has started the new challenge off well. I shall report on my day later when I have decided on meals and exercise plans. I have a stability ball class at half nine so that's one thing already.

Morning all, well done on the losses so far!

I'm reporting a STS today. Not unexpected as I've had a really stressful week and have comfort eaten with a vengeance. :o

Hey ho, today is a new day so I'm going onwards and downwards. :D

Have a good Friday everyone. :)

    Morning folks,

Well done LavenderBees, Savesummore, Rosewood & Molly41– great losses – over ½ stone between you :T. JayII well done for sts even through comfort eating at least you know that your previous losses can be maintained :).

I’m happy to report another 1lb loss too (9st 13lbs sounds sooooo much better than 10st, well to me anyway)

I had a successful shopping trip yesterday – been looking for a mattress topper for ages, at what I consider a reasonable price, the benson for beds store here was having a closing down sale so got a double size for £49.99 :j

Today it’s back to hard graft and getting the sugar soap out to wash down the stair walls and doors ready for painting over the weekend.

    Menu for today =
    B – Boiled Egg, Oatcake
    L – L/O roast chicken salad
D - Puy Lentils, roasted veg & feta, crunchy salad
    Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61
    July - Grocery spends = £119.54
    Aug - Grocery spends = £42.19

:jWow! Ladies, an impressive bunch of results. Well done us! :T

And don't be downhearted by STS, as that is also a good result. I take a STS results as a warning that the scales could start to creep up if I'm not more careful in the forthcoming week. Sometimes the warning to myself works, sometimes not! :rotfl:

    Enjoy your Fridays, Ladies.
