I’m not particularly keen on the sausage meat ones but I remembered the cheesy ones that were dished up to us for school dinners in the early 70’s, I remember them being so tasty and when you cut into them the melted cheese oozed out.

Sounds great, like the arancini you get in Italy.:o

    Hi all :)
Slowly getting over the piggy weekend and pleased to be back on track

    B - banana
D - smoked salmon omelette. Apple
    T - 3 crackerbread, 1xrf philly, 1x marmite, 1x marmalade
S - grapes, melon. 1 mini Mars chocolate
    E - 2 1/2 hours this morning

Can anybody tell me why people bigger than me keep saying I shouldn't lose any more or I'll look ill (how do they know? I've not long smashed the obese barrier into the overweight one), yet people who are naturally slim or have slimmed down themselves, are all so encouraging?! They can't all be envious, surely?

    Have a good evening :)

They do it to me too. My skinny friends and relatives keep saying how well I've done and how great I look. I can't even mention that I am still trying to lose weight in front of my MIL and SIL as they always say I've lost loads and that after having three children I can't expect to get my figure back (I am still bigger now that I was a few months after my second baby, so that's rubbish!).

Basically, it makes them feel bad for not trying when they are seriously overweight themselves and certainly need to lose weight a lot more than I do. But that's not my fault and I should not be made to feel bad for it or be force-fed cake and biscuits whenever they see me!

EllaRose - Cheesy Scotch Egg, not quite a disaster but definitely a work in progress, the cheese was a bit more solid than I would have liked, so think I cooked it too long or maybe added too much flour but will try again and let you know. Arancini, Mmmmm...had forgotten about them will try that the next time I do Risotto cause I always make too much, I am right in thinking its rice balls stuffed with cheese & fried?

Sparrer – I can only imagine that it is people who have known you for a while that are saying - if you lose too much you may look ill, and they can’t quite get used to the new you. I think it’s more about them then you. The one concern I have now (being a woman of a certain age) is that because my skin is losing its elasticity that it doesn’t go back into place once the fat has gone, which is why I’m taking it slowly. A friend of mine who was a constant YoYo dieter, in her mid-50’s following separation/divorce lost a lot of weight quite quickly and I think it has aged her considerably – she is left with sagging skin around her cheeks, chin, neck, under arms and inner thighs – not a good look. I know aiming for a weight that I was in my 20’s may be ambitious but I will stop when I feel that it’s effecting how I look – what a vain individual I am, but I want to look fit & healthy not thin and aged :rotfl::rotfl:

Thank you for the replies - I do understand the main reasons are jealousy and/or guilt conscience.

When I crash-dieted some years ago my face looked awful, drawn and old. DGD2 said they were looking at photo's of me 20/30 years ago and I look much younger now...I love my DGD! ;) I certainly look better than when I was 3 stone heavier. savesummore my bum has got smaller without compromising my face so must be doing something right this time. Mind you I do moisturise it faithfully every day - my face that is, not my bum :rotfl:

I'm thinking of doing the 'maker's diet' (without all the extra vits LOL or the non pasteurized milk)...

Anyone done it? Anyone know where I can get kefir in the UK?

    Morning, all

More of the same from me, today...same food as yesterday. Good thing I have an olympic champion's capacity to eat the same food day after day. But still, it's lots of fruit, veges, seeds/nuts, and some low fat protein and carbs. I did add in a couple of spoonfuls of yoghurt last night as a wee treat, as it needs using up by the end of the week.

On Friday, I have to be up at 4am  to make a train for a course (down souf, don'tchaknow), and then I'm taking the opportunity to stay down souf and visit a good friend of mine so won't be home until Sunday evening. It's occurred to me that I won't have time or opp to post my WI.. I will try to weigh myself on Friday (if I can unglue my eyes at that ridiculous time in the morning), and will post it on Sunday.

Well, must get on. Enjoy your Tuesday's, Everyone

    LB xx
