Ragz I have lost 2 pounds. I am very happy with that.

Well done Fuddle! It's common in the first week to lose more (usually from fluid) as your body adjusts. Nat21luv's first loss is a great example. It's not really possible to lose more than 2lb of real weight in a week, but shifting the retained fluid is a good thing.

Make sure you are all drinking plenty as the more you drink, the less fluid you retain.

Vixtress - I expect you will have a loss next week then, sometimes it takes a while to catch up with you.

    Morning all :)
Congrats to the losers, good work! I weighed this morning and I've gained a few lb, but the witch is hovering so not going to declare a weight this week. Hope to see a good loss next Friday when she should have b*ggered off again

    Today:
    Breakfast: Fruit corner
    Lunch: chicken sandwich, apple, satsumas

I'm going home for my tea tonight so will have to eat what I'm given! Normally pretty healthy though, and I won't have any wine as I've got to pick DH up from his Christmas do at 1 in the morning!

Well done to those of you who've lost this week, and good luck to those of us just starting.

I seem to have put on 2lb since Tuesday, so I think I know what to expect over the weekend :o. So this is now my revised start weight for the challenge: 16st 6lb.

Fuddle - definitely following your lead on using a smaller plate. If I look at what I eat it isn't unhealthy, I just eat too much!

I've done WW etc in the past and it just doesn't work for me - or at least it does for the first stone or two, then I get so fed up of counting calories/points/whatever that I stop and put it all back on.(And I hate having carp full of additives pushed at me like it's a good thing!)

This has happened several times now, so I've decided I'm never counting a calorie again. And if that means I've got to use a smaller plate, get a bit more exercise etc, then that's what I'll do!

For those of you counting the calories, this isn't meant as a put-down - I'm just saying that for me, personally, that doesn't work :).

Obviously, there's still a bit of adolescent rebel in there somewhere! Now if only I could find the bod that went with it!

  • Forgot to WI this am, will do tmw. Not expecting to loose this week as only starting.
Bit of a treat today as Friday, but still within goal.

    B - ceral bar
L- lentil and carrot soup (4th day in a row, will be making something else next week!) ham roll, yoghurt
D - Salad followed by Peppered steak and rosemary potatos with mushrooms and onions
S - banana, snack a jack, box of raisins, wine
    E- 15 mins on stepper.

I'll be revising all weekend for exam on Fri so OH cooking tmw. He is doin spag bol which will have less mince and added carrots.

I would like to declare a loss of 2lbs since the end of the last challenge. Hopefully it will see me through next week which will see the witch visiting.

Me too on both counts, feeling quite pleased with my 2lb loss as I succumed to half a box of chocolates last night :o

I had 2 slices grilled bacon with a grilled tomato on a slice of wholemeal seeded bread, that was breakfast. I'm going to aqua-fit, 3/4 hour jumping around in the pool at LA Fitness - exercise seems to be the only thing that makes a difference. Then we'll have a nice meaty stew with green cabbage afterwards, orange to follow.

  • So coffee to start the day with whole milk..... that's something I don't want to give up along with butter. Breakfast - banana with soya custard (yummy and healthy). Lunch will be one of those soups I had left over from my liquid diet. They're tasty, quick and filling and 200 calories. (Money saving cos I'm not throwing them out) Dinner will be homemade veggie burger, potato wedges and salad with egg free mayo. Have fruit for snacks so will update at the end of the day. I think the only exercise I'm gonna get today is walking and cleaning.

Congratulations to all the losers and good luck to all the new starters :)
