Fuddle I agree about clearing the clothes out. I had a good clear out of all my smaller clothes last year, then I got motivated to start losing weight. It was like making a fresh start. I have also recycled my size 18-20's as they have got too big for me. I have replaced them with leggings and a couple of cheap jumpers for now.
I haven't got a single thing to wear for the summer, so will have to replace my entire summer wardrobe [as cheaply as possible]. Not very MSE of course, but something I am looking forward to.

Yes, I know. Nice feeling though, isn't it? I haven't been size 14 since the early 1980s. The local charity shop (for the hospices, adults and children's) has been doing very well from me. I've discovered M&S Classics which is a style that suits me. Now I need a smaller size swimsuit. Exercise does make a difference, and I go to aqua-fit 3 x week.

I don't like leggings, but what I wear at home and to go to the pool - practically live in, in fact - are LandsEnd jersey cotton crops. As I'm short, crops are like trousers for me! They're so comfortable, easy to wash and they're nice and warm.

Me neither. I haven't got a single thing left for the summer, apart from an elasticated white flowing skirt but can't live in that!

When I hat my challenge target of 7lbs I suspect I will be coming into a size 14. At that point I'll be treating myself cheaply via CS's, Primark and George Asda to some summer clobber.

What I can't understand is I have very little in the way of 14's in my wardrobe. All I can think of is that I squeezed myself into 12's, or actually, that may have been the period where I was pregnant again so maybe I was in maternity wear then. That's nearly 4 years ago now. The weight gain has been ever so gradually. What scares me is, now ragz pointed it out, that in another 7 years time I am destined to be 20-22 in size.

There's loads of that around! We need to get rid of this windy weather for a bit of frozen temps to get rid of the bugs I think. I happen to think the amount I indulged over the holidays that 3lb gain is pretty good going too. You'll be rid of that extra in no time. Hope you feel better soon. Grumpy and mardy is sometimes worse than feeling poorly physically I think.

Im also looking forward to buying some new summer clothes :T:T:T

I will weigh-in tomorrow but it is looking promising. However the witch is beginning to hover again so i will be hampered by that - no doubt x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

    Evening All,

I didn't get chance to post yesterday as I had DGD most of the day - and had a lovely time too. I ate fairly well apart from succumbing to a couple of pieces of toast and raspberry jam which I could have done without. I did have a 40 minute jog as part of my 5 miles walk though. Today I have been out shopping and got a couple of tops from the charity shops - both for my running. I completely replaced all my wardrobe last year with losing 3 and a half stone and virtually all of it came from charity shops so didn't actually cost that much. I got some really good labels too, including Country Casuals, Precis Petite, Per Una as well as things like Next.

    B: Prawn omelette
L: 2 slices HM granary bread with smoked salmon pate and cherry tomatoes. Plus half of the crust whilst it was still warm with HM butter.
D: Chicken thigh with skin removed, creamed spinach with onions, garlic and mushrooms, petit pois. HM yoghurt with blackcurrant compote.

Exercise: 5 mile walk this morning and then another mile or so walking this afternoon.

I weighed myself NYE and totally shocked 13.06 I was 12 stone in the summer so I am in for long haul as was 8stone.5lb 5 years ago but injury and contentment has seen pile the weight on.I will be happy with 4 stone and have a goal to aim for in late July so will try my best to lose as much as possible as I can no longer run (rupture achilles) I will be cycling on my hubbies exercise bike instead:-)
