Evening All,
Well I've had a good first day. I stuck to my meal plan all day although I did feel quite hungry at work at one point. I just kept busy though and tried to forget about it.
I felt quite fired up after my evening meal and as it was a really nice evening I gave my friend a ring and she and I went out for a walk with her dog. We did 5 miles and when I put it into the computer it suggests that I used up 330 calories - an added bonus as well as keeping me out of the kitchen and away from temptation. I've enough milk left for one more tiny milky coffee so I've that to look forwards to too.

Well done JayII and Dundeedoll thats very impressive any tips ? I only started weds this week but have lost 1lb already. It really helps writing down what i will eat.
B boiled egg n toast
L LO lentil n rice casserole
D HM burger salad n wedges
S yog, apple,
No exercise today
Have a good day everyone P0lly xi agree, writing down works forme too. This is only my first week too, and am going for sensible meals plus fruit snacks. I' m not counting milk in tea at the mo though if WL slows might need to. I'm also taking ragz sage advice and going for on average 1lb a week for the first stone. I was very bored /annoyed at work today and knew therecwere cakes and sweeties in the coffee room, but i had my trusty banana in my office :T and am now feeling very smug. Also dipped out of dominos as there was a rice dish leftovers needing eating so i used the 'cant let it goto waste now i'm os mse' which was easier than saying 'im on a diet'. Hmmm maybe cos mse os is a positive challenge whereas losing weight has been a lifetime of negativity?

How was your day, Mrs Slowlyfading? It was beautiful weather here, so I'm hoping you had a glorious day where you were, too.
Well, morning! :j
Guess what?!! I've lost a whole 1lb so a big smiley face for me, please Ragz (here's an example) and I'm off the starting line on this challenge.
I'm also half way towards my full challenge - aiming for 10st, which will see me as a size 12, and able to wear EVERYTHING in my wardrobes :T
Still a way to go though....
Today's plan has changed, unfortunately. No time for a long wallk as planned as my parents have invited me out for a chinese for lunch..I'm not one to look a gift horse in the mouth...so....
Brekkie - boiled egg & hm bread/toast
Lunch - chinese meal
Dinner - not planning any now, though may need a slice of toast of become hungry
Exercise - short walk from parent's house to restaurant at a very slow pace to accomodate my dad. Housework (mainy ironing)
Treats - well, the lunch is a nice treat, but will probably have a glass of wine later.
Will have to double my proposed walk for tomorrow - do the 10 miler instead of 2 x 5 milers to make up. I did manage a 40 minute walk yesterday lunchtime, resisted birthday cakes in the office, but did have a hm bun fresh from the oven last night...gotta sample them, haven't you?! :rotfl:
Enjoy your Saturdays everyone. keep up the good work
LB xx
ETA - there were some great losses reported yesterday. Well done to everyone!0 -
Morning all,
Glad to see so many had such a positive start, I also checked the scales again this morning….just to make sure, I seem to go up and down by anything from ¼ – 1lb on a daily basis and yes the 1lb is definitely gone but my ¼ lb cushion is back on .
I have been invited to a friend’s house for dinner & a few drinks tonight, she also battles with her weight so is happy to prepare us something healthy, methinks the alcohol will be our downfall though, but we all need a treat now and again….right?
So today’s limited plan =
B – Beans on toast
L – Freezer surprise soup, toast. Apple
D – ????????????????????, glass of wine, another and probably another .Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61
July - Grocery spends = £119.54
Aug - Grocery spends = £42.190 -
Thank you for the encouragement I will check out fitness pal. I do think it is helping writing down what I eat. ALthough It is early days. To be fair its not really I have been on and off dieting for most of my life. I know its really simple eat less - exercise more.
B toast n egg 1 of each
L HM soup n sandwich
D HM pizza and salad
E already been to body pumpJBFF # 20 NSD 12/25
Jan Grocery budget £77 /1000 -

still managed to get some photos outside, and then the rest with other people inside
it wasn't raining, it was just really cold!
